i guess that would be an issue for ukip supporters who were previously Lib Dem or Labour......not an insignificant number
One things for sure. Whoever wins, once it goes pear-shaped, you'll be hard-pressed to find anybody admitting to having voted for the victors. This thread will be GOLD.
Spain’s acting prime minister, Mariano Rajoy, has taken an unequivocal line on Brexit, warning earlier this month that a leave vote affect the hundreds of thousands of Britons who live in Spain and “would be very negative for everyone and from every perspective”.
Divorce from the EU, he stressed, would see British citizens forfeiting the rights to live and work across the continent.
BLOODY EMMIGRANTS GOING OVER THERE TAKING THEIR JOBS
True - but what prospects are there for UKIP to exist as anything other than a protest party? There would need to be a complete change in the party, including who it's elected representatives are, their key message (i.e. a move beyond populism), their branding, the whole shooting match. A protest party is going to massively struggle to have sufficiently wide appeal to gain a decent number of MPs in a FPTP system. If current UKIP supporters want to enact real change, then I think they need to change their party - either internally or by banding together with other disaffected MPs, councillors, etc. from at least one of the major parties, and the Tories seem like the most obvious fit.
The brexiteers will walk through fire to vote, The remainers will be too busy posting pictures of cute cats on Facebook.[emoji4]Indeed there are, millions of silent bremainers who never wanted nor saw the need for a referendum in the first place and have to waste our time going down to the polling station when we could be gardening, to counterbalance the shouty brexiters.

That's sounds a great idea, can we do that too. Maybe we could adopt a similar policy here.No - he'll start charging them commercial rates to use Spanish services, and health system, and refuse them permits to work.
You are starting to sound more hysterical with every statement.
Quite amusing though.
That's pure bollocks. I've said from day 1 that I'd vote Remain. Later I'll walk to the polling station and vote Remain. Whatever the outcome, I'll happily declare I voted Remain, in a week or a year, or a decade's time - because given the weight of evidence before us, I feel it's the correct decision. That will never change, whatever the future throws at us.
Interesting - Sterling has gained nearly 10c in the past week - ie, around 7%. Those currency traders must know something....
I'm going to stick my neck on the line and say remain will win with close to 60% and thereby quash any potential future Brexit ramblings...
even if its a 90% whitewash for remain,i will still never walk away from protesting against The EU ever.
Never give up!
except for those of us who have, should i say made their feelings very open

And then there will be some of us who will be happy to keep it between themselves and the ballot paper and be happy to do so afterwards
