Excellent !

So leavers or remainers, we are all on the same page, nobody wants to insult one another and we all want to move the UK forward.

So let's get a solution to these outstanding issues and move it forward. Here's the issues, leaver or remainer What do we do about Ireland/NI, Tariff Free deal and Fishing so put up your suggestion for moving the UK forward and I will give it my best shot to protect you from Trolls and Insults etc whatever viewpoint you are coming from,

If you want to be stupid and keep insulting one another them I am sure this thread will continue in it's normal way but whatever

To be fair there Isn't any personal insults, the debate seems to have plateaued with Remainers highlighting the many flaws and negative news around Brext with leavers generally countering with triumphalism of the referendum result.

Never really been into the personal insults, though I've taken some abuse over the past 4 years usually when I share things with people they don't want to hear and remind people what was promised by those that sold Brexit. I accept this is down to fustration but is common human behaviour in such a situation

Where to from here?

Firstly the UK must abide by the WA agreement they signed up to early this year. Johnson capitulated to the EU and returned to the point TM was at before she secured a concession after pressure from the DUP in late 2017. Its an awful deal and comprimises the integrity of the Union of Great Britain and Northern Ireland but he signed it and it was agreed to by a majority in parliament. That ship has sailed, if they break this we're looking at further damage to our International standing and trust, it will hinder progress elsewhere

If we want a tariff free deal on goods we need to u-turn on the level playing field there is no way the EU will give on this. On fishing its so minor I think the EU have some movement, beggars believe we are in such a tiz about this, meanwhile do f**k all on access to services. Huge capital flight from the UK already

We can contemplate no deal but it will simply mean a return to the table in a weaker position and the result in a poorer outcome. The consequences of comprimising the GFA has been discussed elsewhere, again very damaging to our world standing

Whatever happens we will be in constant haggling with the EU for the foreseeable. They will still be our biggest trading partner even in a full blown trade war

Have you contacted your local MP yet ? No point in flogging the dead horse is there, you might be pleasantly surprised

Cheers. I knew the thread would be derailed and soon as the 4 (by my count) remainers with the misplaced sense of superiority turned up, along with sneering, gloating cretins like PPF. Too much to ask for these people to respect the spirit and intentions that were intended. Thanks to all those people whose posts ensured that thread got merged into this Brexit dustbin thread. Give yourselves a big clap.

I can't even look at this thread anymore. It's an embarrassment.

I'd hate to say I told you so

I'd like to see this poll again 30 days after the end of transition

I guess with all the remain media types relentlessly sulking and throwing their toys out of the pram some people may have been swayed but I think you'll find most reasonable people will be glad to see the end of the EU intrusion on the 1.1.2021 check change go it's happening

Brexit: Police warn of ‘major operational impact’ when UK loses access to EU crime databases in January

Police have confirmed that the UK will lose access to EU databases used millions of times a year post-Brexit, warning of a “major operational impact”.

I'm not worried though. I've had numerous assurances over the last 4.5 years that it's all Project Fear

Don't forget we will have our Customs and Excise going through our laundry on the way back looking for anything to tax.

And your green card, travel insurance, pet passport etc...

Because we are leaving the EU with no import controls in place, I'd completely forgotten all the further new lorry parks that will be needed for the Import side of Brexit. (If we actually manage to get any controls in place in the first six months after Brexit)

Brexit: Port chiefs warn £200m for upgrades is nowhere near enough and time running out to start work

The bill for easing post-Brexit turmoil at UK ports will be far more than the £200m available and time is running out to start the work, an inquiry has heard.

Port chiefs said infrastructure work had taken nearly a year in the past – but they would have just six months and only because full import controls have been delayed until next June.

Well it all appears to be going swimmingly for us to 'Take back Control' in June 2021

Can't we just waive everything through to avoid the chaos, surely that will sort things. Didn't that nice man Michael someone.. mention a light touch border?

You know, just carry on as we are boss...

If all the lorries are stuck in the export car park, the "lorry carousel" stops and none will be coming back in anyway... which is a winner in the sense that we can save on the building costs of inbound lorry parks.

^--- lol.

As above, there is nothing to wave though if they are all stuck on the outbound journey.
