The ballot paper had two choices - Leave or Remain - that is all. Stop lieing.

Exactly. There was never a specific Brexit on offer. The two main leaders of Brexit are in complete disagreement on what Brexit is. There is a mandate for precisely **** all.

2nd referendum with SPECIFICS is the only way forward.

Another 1 million turnout in London yesterday, one arrest I notice that the DM actually are trying to make a story out of this

What was really striking yesterday wasn't just a sense of wanting to stay in the EU, but also of patriotism for Britain, so many union jacks. A real sense now that our Union is really hanging by a thread.

There were flags from Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and I even saw one from Gibraltar.

By where were the English flags, has this flag now become toxic in the face of nationalism? Starting to feel that way...

Remainer thugs were harassing JRM and his small son. Andrea Leadsom needed a police escort to guarantee her safety from "people's vote" supporters screaming at and threatening her. One million marching against democracy and freedom, but in support of Verhofstadt's EU Empire.
Don't try and pretend any of that one million have an ounce of patriotism. To be fair to Verhofstadt he isn't even hiding his ambitions any more, so to still support membership of his imperial power makes you an EU imperialist.

Why did The Honorable Member for the 18th Century take his 12 year old kid, Peter Temporomandibular Anaplasmosis Rees-Mogg or whatever it's called, to parliament yesterday, the first Saturday sitting in 37 years amid such heightened national tensions?

I hope Somerset County Council Social Services haven't been that afflicted by austerity to get on the case.

West is BEST
what does this have to do with brexit, are you suggesting EU prevents building?

EU Habitats Directive. Google it. Don’t fret, I won’t be after an apology.

NB;

See, for every single argument leavers try and come up with there is a rational, thought out and importantly CORRECT counter. If you weren’t constantly being assured otherwise you might be forgiven for thinking leavers were a bit thick.

.... This is rubbish for all the reasons outlined by many well informed Remain Supporters on this thread.
Read both sides of the argument on this thread and then reflect before coming back.
I utterly condemn all intimidation of MPs.... the intimidation (from both sides of the argument) comes from a minority who do themselves and their argument no favours. Including murdering an MP in cold blood.

Oh, and the many of the marchers yesterday absolutely are British patriots...

I think things have been thought out very clearly, we are losing the ability to seamlessly move foodstuffs across the Channel in both directions in good time. I'm sure you are aware of all the requirements on the UK to meet numerous licences, standards and guarantees and certification for crops and meat exports , even to the fact that we need to use a EU standard pallet in order to minimise risk of spreading pests. All this happens seamlessly at the moment allowing free trade to flourish rather then be held back.

I am aware of all the requirements currently in place and how much work the UK food trade has put in place over 3+ years to ensure that they are covered for all eventualities whether it be No Deal, Hard Brexit, Medium Brexit, Slightly Soft Brexit, Soft Brexit or Remain.

You can never tell with twitter who is writing this stuff. Its a very blunt form of communication, personally I avoid it. Why do MP's try and respond to any of this whichever side you are on?

I wrote to John Mann on Friday and my own name and address, I made it clear he was not my MP and I dd not expect a response. I asked him to kindly to consider his actions carefully and highlight to the risks of his decisions

I will be following up again today after he refused to back Letwin..

For some reason I doubt you could even use the correct variation of 'lying' properly in response.

From a confirmed, but reformed, convicted ex-criminal in Hastings.

John Mann has shown over the last three and a half years that there are still some decent Labour MP's. A good, honest, blunt Northerner and a true patriot. No doubt he'll be deselected.

It's not just price rises people should be watching of, as they don't play well with supermarkets.

What you should also be looking for is the quantity of the product you're buying.

Tesco's are in the process of reducing 1 product, I know of, by 10% from 335g to 300g.

I do not know if the price is also being reduced by 10%.

Well that has been happening for a long time.
The soft drinks industry did it to offset the Sugar Tax. The chocolate and confectionery industry have been at it for years. Likewise the cereal and biscuit manufacturers. Its endless. Their mantra is...." In the light of rising costs, we didn't want to pass this on to the consumer, so to retain a competitive price, attractive to consumers, we have reduced the size by a small amount " ( Usually between 10 - 25% )
They think we are all daft but most people notice the declining size of product.

I was there 99.9999% of what went on was peaceful, I didn't see any thugs. I only incident I experienced was a leaver voter aggressively pushing his way through the crowds in parliament square claiming he was the "real people". Everyone around me just ignored him....

I heard some shouted "shame on you" to Leadsom, I would have done the same, hardly a hate crime is it though.

i did, didnt say anything about national parks or green belt, which we established for ourselves. besides this, generally we need to build more in this country to solve the problems in housing. EU doesnt prevent us from amending our own law on countryside protections. while throwing insults of people being thick, you raise issues that infer the EU controls some aspect of life in the UK, supporting arguments of leavers.

A true patroit, happy to follow policy to break up our country and essentially make England the 51st State of the USA. Yes, maybe deselection is required, we will see

" Increase in prices for many food items "
I keep hearing this and realise that it is uttered by people who don't have a clue about the food industry. PRICES CHANGE ALL THE TIME...irrespective of Brexit. There are so many global factors. For about nine months, Pork has been rising sharply in price because of Chinese demand. They have swine flu and continually buy up European stocks, forcing up prices here. Bacon moves up and down. Eggs always have seasonal increases. Salmon has rocketed in price ( supply shortage ) Crop failures have knock on effects and then throw in changes in packaging etc.
Most go out shopping, know roughly what they want to buy and pay at the end, without studying the bill too closely. They have no idea how much the trade absorbs price increases to remain competitve. Any increases in food prices ( and there will be many decreases as well ) as a result of Brexit, will be hardly noticed, so the next time you decide to make a simplistic statement like this, just try and think it through a bit more clearly.

Shoppers who don't notice increases in price, but notice declining size of products. Probably too busy trying to find the weight/volume to notice the price ???

No doubt he'll be deselected.

Great informed leaver research!

(He is standing down).

“On 7 September 2019, Mann announced that he would not stand as a MP at the next general election to take up a full-time role as the government’s antisemitism tsar, citing his belief that Corbyn was unfit to become Prime Minister for his mishandling of allegations of antisemitism within the Labour Party.[4] Two days later, it was reported in The Times that Theresa May's resignation honours list was held up by a row over her decision to give Mann a peerage and that the independent watchdog on Lords appointments warned it would set a dangerous precedent and could be seen as a bribe.”

Lets not kids ourselves, a lot of politicians do U-turns, its nothing new. But Boris is a serial offender, if there is a second ref and remain wins he will change sides 100% if it is to his own personal benefit.

He is of zero integrity and is unfit to hold office...
Him and his cronies are the first senior politicians that have led me to believe they are only interested in their own agenda. I have agreed with the policy of very few, if any of the following but I always got the feeling that Thatcher, Major, Blair, Brown, Cameron and even May were trying to implement what they thought was best for the country. Of course this is generalised and there are plenty of instances for all of them that were done for ulterior motives but on the whole, I got the feeling that it wasn't just personal gain/power that drove them but a sense of running the country properly, however misguided I feel most, if not all of them were. The jury is out for me on Corbyn in this regard. His early days as leader did seem to reflect him trying to get his beliefs into action and actually seemed to answer questions honestly. Now he seems to be heading into the realm of just trying to get into power rather than actually acting according to his beliefs.

Again, for clarity and to avoid diatribes from the usual suspects, I am against the extreme policies on both sides at present - this is purely based on my gut feel for the motives behind the way senior figures on both sides have been motivated during my adulthood. Don't bother with the IRA sympathiser/Eton posh boy route because that is not the point I am making. But in Johnson, Rees-Mogg, Gove, Cummings et al, I only get the sense that everything they do is for their own benefit/advancement. However much she back tracks on it, the comment from Rachel Johnson about Boris acting on behalf of billionaires looking to short the pound actually holds some credence. No idea if it is true or not but the fact I give the matter some thought and could see a fair chance of it being true is very damning for me. However damaging policies from either side have been in the past, you could see that a lot of them were based on the political beliefs of those involved. I don't see that with the above mentioned - Johnson took an age to actually announce which side he was on before the referendum. I am fairly sure he tried to pick the plucky losing side to give him leverage in future challenges. When he got this wrong, he slunk off so he couldn't be blamed for the fallout. And then come charging the rescue with nothing but bluster and obfuscation. He has failed massively but garnered support from an electorate who again see him as a plucky underdog standing up for their democratic decision. I would be stupefied if that was actually the case. I think the first and only rule of Boris Club is "Only worry about Boris"

One could also say that those who voted in a way which denigrates the status of this country, both economically and influentially, don't display an ounce of patriotism, either.

One could also say that those who have deliberately undertaken an agenda of doom and gloom mongering, spreading messages of forthcoming armageddon and have successfully scared shitless a whole swathe of the British public, who have greatly reduced spending levels and forced the economy into its current depressive state ( and if you don't believe it, go out and ask shopkeepers and business owners ) could also be held accountable for actions against the well being of this country.
