I already have done. I don't say one thing on an internet forum and then say differently in real life.

I agree this government is failing badly with infrastructure. We need more roads, schools and doctors. Blame the Tories not the EU.

Well ,seeing as other countries have profited from our contributions to the EU for their infrastructure improvements I guess we better blame the Government as to Why we haven't left the EU ? Did you go to the public meeting in Peacehaven and make your feelings known out of interest ?

Which countries have profited from my 37 pounds a year? This link shows what the EU have paid for in this country. Just put in the postcode and you will see all the projects.

https://www.myeu.uk/

One of the largest sums donated was contributed to the northern farming industry – in 2017, the EU invested £18,597,948 to support 1,024 farmers around Sheffield.

According to one survey, 58% of farmers voted leave in the EU referendum. Shooting themselves in the foot.

I'm more concerned about banks dissapearing from our high streets thanks

Internet banking. Yes, I get annoyed that I have to travel to Seaford, too, but it is nothing to do with Brexit and everything to do with the internet.

Who said 37 pounds a week?

I only pay 34 pounds (my pound sign on my keyboard has stopped working for some reason) a month income tax.

It is 37 pounds a YEAR. I worked it out based on my income from two pensions, one private and one state pension. Not even one pound a week.

I like the rest of the world including you don’t know. I’d have a better idea if I was being paid and employed to do as a job mind.

Ah, you mean the experts telling us not to do this but who we keep being told we shouldn't listen to?

It's OK. I'll pay your £37 per year EU contribution out of the tax I pay on my pensions.

I probably do already anyway ???

It's just your swollen, smug, English, middle class, Brexit head is stuck too far up and you'll never be able to see the reality of this mess for what it is, anymore than your fellow likeminded Brexit backers Ann Widdecombe and Nigel Farage would.

Just this morning the former head of MI6 has said our standing in the world has been 'severely diminished'

What do you know that he doesn't then? :lolol:

I'd already read the link you posted. Strange, neither that article nor the Head of MI6 use the word 'embarrassed' ... they use much more demour words. So you're clearly making it up. I'll ask again, which of our international partners said they were 'embarrassed' about us ?

How nice of the EU to give us some of our 6B back.

When we had the awful floods in 2015, the EU offered money to help build flood defences. David Cameron turned it down partly because the government is supposed to match the money given, and partly because he didn't want the electorate to know how the EU helps out.

27 other countries contribute too, you know and it is share around. The way some leavers speak, you would think we funded it all by ourselves. £37 a week! (yay, my £ is working again) indeed. A huge difference from £37 a year.

You're just splitting hairs here, playing whatbaoutery and clutching at straws and trying to score points, because you've got nothing positive to add about Brexit or have any clue about it, as normal. We're being laughed at abroad - we're diminished, our existential future as a country and existing territorial integrity, as well as an international peace treaty is at risk - because of people like you. Anyone sensible can see it's a total international embarrassment - it really goes without say frankly. That Tory Party polling about people happy to see this country break up if it meant Brexit - you're exactly the same. Brexit is one giant embarrassment, but you can't see it because you're English and one of what Matthew Parris refereed to as 'The Brexit Crazys' - he said when you mention The EU to them, their eyes go funny and cannot reason with them. I call people like you 'The Infected' - I just feel a mixture of pity of contempt.

Ruth Davidson said of the Tory members who think that way that they need to have a good look at themselves. I'd have just called them stupid, English, Brexit voting ****s.

We're about to get Boris Johnson as PM and then goodness only knows what in the autumn as this utter cluster***** continues to play out. It's rather obvious to anyone not infected that this is many things, an absolute, utter embarrassment being one of them. It is embarrassing for diplomats and civil servants working for this shower. The world is laughing at us, but you're cheering it on along with the rest. I can fully understand why senior servants are leaving Whitehall to go into the private sector - they're reporting to embarrassing buffoons if they stay.

Every day in Africa, in my left front pocket of my shorts or trousers when I went out, I carried my British passport as ID. To the best of my knowledge I was only ever asked for it once by the police at road block, but then, just like when I handed it over in banks, I felt very proud of it. Like a lot of people I'm afraid now I'm actually embarrassed of where I come from. Still, at least in the future I can get a blue one.

The UK pays in more than it gets back in grants from the EU. Even if you add our share of the running costs it is still less than we pay in. That's because it is EU policy to pass money to the poorer member countries to try and bring an equal standard of living across all member states.

Watching this idiotic country do what it's doing can bring out a rant in a lot of people.

I'm really not too fussed about not speaking to a smug, middle class, English Brexit voter from Hove and, on balance, I think I'll cope. I'm heading off down to watch some cricket in a while, and have a few pints. Lovely afternoon for it. You have a nice day too. If you can.
