Meanwhile the EU gravy train rattles on down the track.

The European Commission was today plunged into a row over its travel expenses after it emerged that Jean-Claude Juncker had splashed out £24,000 of taxpayers’ money on a private plane for a two-day visit to Rome.

The commission spent half a million euros on travel for its commissioners in January and February 2016, which works out at £8,000 being claimed by each of the 28 commissioners every month.

No wonder they have fought so hard to keep their expenses claims secret. #takebackcontrol
No wonder they want us to remain. To fund their nice away days.

So apart from someone who has worked closely on Brexit who else needs to say it won't work until the penny drops? So far ex chief of staff and brains behind leave campaign have said will be a clusterfu"£. Do we accuse everyone of losing until Farage says it will ruin the country?

You're the nerdy kid in the playground shouting 'fight, fight' fight' and then running off when the teacher comes ..............

It would be a bit daft to hang around and get a detention. Seems a smart move to me.

As the sun shines over Europe, and the Euro soars in value, the self-inflicted mess of the U.K. will at least demonstrate to those on the mainland you're better in than out. If anyone had any doubts they won't now.

Nice distraction, but it won't help our increasingly desperate situation.

As President for one of the largest economic blocks in th world this seems a non event. And he is just about to rip us off and take tens of billions out of the UK, seems to me he is more than earning his perks.

Interesting justification for unfair and despotic behaviour.

Bloody Worthing!
While few would deny that the EU top brass enjoy a disproportionate reward (not unlike our own captains of industry but that's a different story) the main issue here I that this sort of gravy train thing allows our most of our populist press to default to the narrative that casts the EU as the enemy of the British people. This is one of the assumptions that Brexit was built upon and we'll see how we get on without the bloated Eurocrats sooner rather than later.

As the sun shines over Germany, the rest of Europe drowns in a sea of youth unemployment and poverty, while cowering from the self-inflicted fear of jihadi terrorism.Poland leads the breakaway of eastern states, forming a new, modern version of Comecon, while most people in Great Britain breathe a sigh of relief that we escaped.:lolol:
