You make me laugh :lolol: And, yeah, 'I don't know wha't, either. Interesting times, as the Chinese say. Nighty night.

My question is this. Why doesn't any true self respecting British man or women want their country's sovereignty back, their country's ability to govern themselves and their country's ability to trade with the rest of the world. It just baffles the brain how some people are content with being dictated to by a bunch of unelected fools. Roll on independence day 23rd June :)

Because not everyone has the same distorted view of reality that you do.

"I would say that a majority of people have great reservations about the authority, power and construction of the European Union. A heavy and suffocating layer of an already top heavy and un-sociocratic process of legislation on our existence. This is not say they are anti-Europe, I for one am pro, but they are concerned that a commendable prospect has become an ugly product. Yet despite these heavy doubts they will still vote to stay. Why ? Simply because they not racists or xenophobes- and they are also fearful of what this nation will be like socially and economically hence."

People that vote to leave are racists and xenophobes?????

please tell me i have read this the wrong way.

Hmmm. So how would the poster describe those on the BBC news in Leeds that were Polish and stated that they agreed with the new "deal" on migrants CB limits, and that they feel that immigration should be controlled........are they "racists or xenophobes".
Just the usual generalisation when running out of excuses.

No you haven't. It's the sort of muck-slinging that will be coming in from the 'In's right up to polling day. It's starting already.............................

You have, but then again perhaps I haven't made the point clear.

The key is in the title 'Silence The Xenophobes, And The UK Will Leave The EU'. I'm of the conviction that there are many people who struggle to align themselves with the 'Out' campaign because of the nasty rhetoric, implied and sometimes direct, about immigration. This rhetoric makes them uncomfortable, they don't support it. Yet they do have legitimate concerns about our EU membership as well as uncontrolled immigration, and, more importantly, the structure of the EU itself.

At no stage does the article imply that everyone who votes 'Leave' is a xenophobe, quite the opposite. It suggests that there are some though- and they risk derailing the prospect of bringing more folk into the fold.

Unfortunately in your extract you didn't include the next couple of lines which said:

'The problem that the ‘leave’ campaign will have is the headlines that will undermine its argument that their campaign is not that of Little England- and doubtless for most it isn’t.'

See post #136. It's not what I'm saying. Quite the opposite. My view is that most who want to leave have legitimate concerns which may be undermined by xenophobic arguments from a vocal minority.

O.K. I accept the point you're trying to make is completely different to the one that is perceived by those who read it, but your final sentence is a shocker:

.'The problem that the ‘leave’ campaign will have is the headlines that will undermine its argument that their campaign is not that of Little England- and doubtless for most it isn’t.'

You have to red it carefully - three or four times - to establish which way you are arguing!

Here's the thing.

If I was an Islamic state nutjob I would be thinking..." If I want to see Europe self destruct I would launch whatever attack I have planned for the UK oh, around about now".

A well placed jihadi outrage just as refugee season gets going will tip the Brits out of their alliance with the porous borderedEU.

It's clearly the next logical move. It's already a stated aim of theirs to launch a tidal wave of immigrants across the med. it's causing civil unrest from Germany to Scandinavia as it is.

I guess the confusion arises by me suggesting a way in which the 'leave' campaigners can win the vote, even though I'm part of the 'In' camp. That's simply because I do understand many of the arguments that are being brought forward and would hope they get the chance to fully represent them without being derailed. It needs a proper debate without the mud slinging. I respect those who have concerns about the EU because I share some of them.

I reckon you are a mole planted on NSC by Theresa May to subvert all us normal xenophobes and racists.

And you're probably a Muslim.
