Plenty of individual blockbusters and team goals but if I am considering skill that very frw platers have that was thge best

This one left an indelible impression on my memory if only for its performative value

As mentioned, Gary Nelson Cup tie goal carving through the length of the field through half a dozen Brentford players - probably one of Brighton’s GOAT goals.

All the above mentioned goals by other posters and yes, Mitoma’s sublime first touch on Bart’s assist setting himself up for a goal that deserves to be seen up there with the best.

That's addictive, watching it over and over.

Who was the Chavs player in the RB-esque position with no gas/legs?

Where to start

Wardy against the mancs
Knockhart against the filth
Nelson at Brentford and yes I was there with about 1500 other brighton fans
Actually the answer is a goal scored against Burnley in 1961

Loved Andones v Palace. That was one hell of a goal. KLL also scored couple crackers at Withdean in successive games. Sidwell at Ashton, Bobbys of course, and then…there have been many many more ‘greatest ever’ goals in Albions history. Same at every club.
Yes Andones goal came straight to mind.

Have to say Mitomas Wolves goal was better though and his recent Chelsea goal too. Jakhanbasks goal too was sublime

Away at Stoke about 10 years ago, in the days when I used to watch hesgoal, I think it was Izquierdo. An amazing dizzying sequence of one-twos that cut right through their defence, culminating in an emphatic drive into the corner of the net to make it 0-1 to us. Unfortunately Shaquiri ended up equalising in the dying minutes.

Edit: found the video. It was in 2018.

‘Am I watching Brighton or Barcelona?‘ 🤣

Stoke equalised after about an hour or so though, not in the dying minutes. Ryan saved a penalty in injury time.

This was the Welbeck goal I was referring to earlier in the thread

This thread will invariably end up with a bunch of smart arses quoting goals scored with no video evidence.

For the record, I have been watching the Albion since 1988 and it was technically the best goal I have seen.
What a strange comment - just because there weren't cameras present doesn't invalidate how good a goal was.

And, yes, I was at Brentford for THAT Nelson goal and it's probably still my number one I've seen live.

I wish someone would draw a map from memory or something. It bugs me that goal, because I've never been able to see it.

January 1979. Wolves in the F A Cup at the Goldstone.

Ball rolled out to Mark Laurenson on the edge of our box. He ran straight down the middle of the pitch towards the north stand and shot from the edge of theirs. I think he outpaced one or possibly two players, while Gerry Ryan and others made runs to take defenders away and open up the space for him.

The ball hit the back of the net and bounced back onto the pitch.

Sorry @jonny.rainbow. I can't even remember Southern featuring it on their news bulletins. They were all about Pompey and Southampton back then, or so it seemed.

Case FAC semi final.

Andone …. astonishing, changes of pace to fool the goons, the context of sealing a win with 10 men against the enemy.

My choice … Andone’s. From 1:29.

I don't know about the best from a skill point of view, but I bloody love that goal. First time I ever swore in front of my daughter.
