Individual skill, Bobby Z volley v Halifax at Withdean

Team goal. Ulloa v Palace
Bobby’s was a great hit. Lots of good players pull off strikes like that though. This touch and finish from Mitoma is a far, far more outrageous demonstration of very rare ability.

Two that go under the radar, Frank Worthington’s winner vs Wimbledon at the Goldstone in Dec 84, and Garry Nelson’s strike in the FA Cup at Brentford in November 1987, sadly neither were captured on camera. 🙈

If they had, Albion fans would be mesmerised to this day ❤️

Over the years we’ve scored some great goals, eh?

For me, an old fart fan these days, it’s the Willie Irvine goal.

Bobby Z cleared the ball off the line with a header out he then set off racing the length of the pitch meanwhile the ball is passed between a couple of Brighton players before being launched to Bobby who controlled it with one touch and scored with the second, cannot remember who it was against but was at Withdean early in his playing days he then repeated this at The Amex right at the end of his playing days

For us lucky enough to be there almost 40 years ago it will never be forgotten!!
Not true. I was there (for both Brentford away matches in 1987) and I HAVE forgotten it. I remember us going mental as he walked through their defence but can't actually recall the goal itself.
