GNR were OK, but nothing special last time. Axl was badly out of condition, and the solos were taking the piss whilst he had to go and be reoxygenated behind the stage. As for being too "tired" to do the last song of the last night of the UK tour - unprofessional and I wouldn't waste money on them again - there are better cover bands that don't involve Axl's ego.

ACDC - excellent band, worth going to see Airbourne as it look like ACDC will not be touring again......

BFMV - f***ing awful, truly, truly, truly shite. So shite that they have changed their style to a more commercial one following their GNR support slot which had people standing rooted to the spot whilst they played, unless they had escaped to the bar first. Words cannot express how shite they were.

Since GNR became essentially "Axl Rose & The First 5 People To Show Up With An Instrument", they've gotten further and further away from their awesome best when they were one of the biggest bands on the planet. Such a shame that Axl's ego f***ed all that.

Difficult call.... saw Thin Lizzy twice.. brilliant ! ..... I saw Belle and Sebastian at the Dome last year and they were bloody good... .... from what I have seen on Youtube, The Wombats look dead good too ...I have tickets for REM at the Rosebowl in August so we may have to re-open this post then ?

Saw REM at the millenium stadium,I am not a great fan but went because my mrs likes them and they were awesome, i couldnt believe how good they were live.

Some other great concerts i have attended:
Marillion(1987) U2 (1987) Pink Floyd (1988) Genesis (1987) Rush,magnum,Def Leppard

In a pile of football shirts
Motorhead are excellent every single time.

QUOTE]

Certainly are, and looking forward V much to their show in the Dome in November, only the 2nd time the 'Head have ever played Brighton.

For those of you who haven't, and are curious, waste no time, buy yourself a ticket. There now follows a list of things you must do before you die;

1. See Motörhead Live
2. Everything else (including Led Zep)

In that order.
