It can’t take you that long to get to Tier 2. I reckon it can be done in a season or two?

It's my 3rd season as a Season ticket holder effectively starting at Zero points.

I do over half aways (Missed Fulham, Bournemouth and Newcastle so far this year) and am up to about 250 points. I also got up to Tier 2 right at the back end of last season before the points go down again and you slip down again.

Catching up with Tier 1 for Bournemouth or Brentford though could take years (Bournemouth was 337 this year)

Its an ingenious system. It's almost like our owner understands Maths quite well.....

Fulham’s always a mess with the neutral zone and people wandering into the away end.
I did it myself in the championship guess what no email.

I've been reading this thread with interest and want to put a few things straight and offer some help.

There is no neutral zone at Fulham. There hasn't been since at least when we were promoted to the Prem. Some away fans buy tickets in the Putney End because they have membership or it goes on General Sale and their postcodes don't raise concerns - there were people on here saying they'd done that at Fulham. We have seen supporters of bigger clubs and other London / SE clubs in there and at least one Newcastle fan had his ticket cancelled before the game. No doubt, some away fans in the home section will try to get in the away section because they can celebrate / sing without the possibility of getting Victoria Sponge lobbed at them by disgruntled Ruperts.

Fulham won't 'oversell' tickets. We are not a budget airline. Fulham will send the tickets to the away club in advance.

There is no segregation (as far as I know) on the Putney End concourse, but despite this, I have never heard of serious trouble with rival fans, even Chelscum and Hounslow.

Fulham stewards are known not to be particularly proactive unless specifically asked to eject away fans in home sections. The exceptions are getting home fans to sit down, except at the back of the Hammersmith End, and preventing people taking drinks into the stands. We are not alone in this - like with the Albion, there were Liverpool fans in the Fulham section at Anfield last week, showing their colours. The stewards had to be asked for them to be removed.

There are a handful of Fulham idiots who appear pissed / coked up. I tried to stop one starting a fight with you lot last season at Clapham Junction and I saw another couple goading Spuds fans after our recent draw there. It's worse at away games.

The new Riverside stand (especially the upper tier) is a mystery to most 'legacy' Fulham fans as its too expensive for matchday and season tickets. I heard a bottle was luzzed at the Albion fans (tops are not removed at the Cottage) which may have come from there. It seems bizarre that any real fan of any club would risk a ban by doing that.

The seats aren't smaller in the away end than those in the home end. They are larger than the wooden one I sit on in the old stand. The first time I went to the Amex with my daughter she worried me by commenting favourably about how comfortable your seats are in comparison.

My offer is to suggest to the Fulham fc (via the Fulham Supporters Trust) that stewarding needs to be tightened up in the away section to reduce the chances of injuries during goal celebrations and prevent overcrowding and that the stewards should be more vigilant and prevent people taking drinks into the stands. Thoughts?

It was odd at the time - didn’t seem like any stewards headed for the area where the bottle came from. I guess they’ll have it on CCTV anyway.

Been to loads of games at Fulham (including in the home end - but not for Brighton games), never seen any real trouble apart from a couple of scousers getting kicked out of the home end when Liverpool scored. One of my favourite grounds.

I saw that too. In a very highly policed area by dugouts.
Didn't see anyone removed.

No real need to report it - it was pretty clearly seen on TV and mentioned by the commentator at the time. Pretty poor throw mind you- missed him by a fair way.

Let's be honest - the people who insist on standing in the aisles, not sitting in their allocated seats, luzzing beer and deliberately shoving rather than just surging are absolute dicks and annoy everyone else at away games. Let's also be honest - they are often the ones making the most noise and starting the most chants so it's tricky to strike the right balance I guess. Just don't be a nob.

Let's face it, that's not a 'surge'. That looks like what happened at my senior school if someone shouted 'bundle' in the playground. I wouldn't have been happy if one of them tipped me over in the name of 'Limbs'. 'Limbs' should be for exceptional circumstances, not 1 goal against Fulham.

It's a natural jump up and movement forward. But because of the seats it means there is the tumbling risk that wasn't there pre-seats.

If anyone else on NSC asks 'what is the point of safe standing areas when everyone else stands anyway' (which they will) - show them this photo. It is precisely what safe standing is designed to avoid - tumbling over the seats in front of you.
