Dont get me wrong Easy, Im very supportive of your optimism. Weve got one of the youngest teams in MLB and we are very patient (seen Fargo? Thats what Minnesotans are like... though Ive only ever spent two days there in my life) and if we dont finish bottom of the pile this year will be a success as we plan for the future. Were the equivalent of Swansea last season so who knows?

And its always great to have a fellow supporter :)

We're the "Twins Twins" on here :)
Oh, and Fargo is probably in my top 5 movies of all time.

Ooh ... only just seen this thread.

I've had rather too many late nights watching baseball at strange hours.

I'm another Red Sox fan. I'm envious of MoH watching them, I've never managed to get a ticket to Fenway Park when I've been in Boston but I did watch them beat the Yankees when I was in NY a couple of years ago.

Think I'm too late for the fantasy league but I will be following the action over the summer.

Well in the draft last night I let my Twins mania get the best of me and ended up drafting Ploofe, Willingham and Perkins.. wouldve tried Mauer, Morneau and Hicks but missed out.

They better play out of their socks this season!

Worley... Worley!?! as starting pitcher?!?

And we're underway! Great win for the Red Sox at Yankee Stadium. Only another 161 games to go (barring play-offs etc.)

Oh Easy 10 you can usually watch 1 live game free direct from MLB.com.

I'm sure they'll so The Twins, eventually.

Cheers SB, I'll keep an eye out for that.

They nearly hauled it back though, from what I could make out on At Bat. Got it back to 3-2 and then had 3 bases loaded at the bottom of the 8th, but eventually struck out. Arrrghh.

Tigers were divisional champs last season though, so I wasn't expecting much. Twins are 25/1 outsiders to win the division. And yes, I've put a bluey on.

Mariners win! Still they traditionally do well in the first game, it's the remaining 160 or so they have trouble with.

That was my Withdean Wanderer impression :) Its actually not a bad result..... againsy Verlander. For once the pitching was pretty good. It was our strength, the batting that let us down. Starting rookie Hicks at 1 might have been a mistake

Mets won there first game - that means it's all downhill from here - sigh.

Yeah, but 11 runs (off just 13 hits!) and Niese contributing offensively to kick off the season - got to enjoy that.

You may well be right, but equally I can't see the Mets being as bad as everybody thinks they will. Probably be under 500, but that's par for the course now - they've been sh*t for so long that it'll be no worse than it has been.

Wow - great pitching performance by Yu Darvish in Houston. One out away from making history. Trouble is, when you do that in your first game, the rest of the season will probably feel like an anti-climax!
