I watched the Yankees last night and they looked old and beat up.

I know they have some big players due back but the pitching looks light. That said, the AL East is incredibly strong and those 5 teams will be taking games off each other all season.

NB - My Athletics got their first win last night so I'm happy today.

Never been a glory hunter, and I'm not going to start now.
Thats the first time I've sat down and watched a game, and I was totally engrossed. Needs more CHANTING from the crowd though, and knock that crappy organ on the head.

No way Stat Brother. I'm a Twins man through and through now. Quite literally got the T-shirt.

If I needed a moment to fall in love with a team, then actually watching them turn that match on its head, from one down at the bottom of the 9th against last seasons divisional champions, that was it.

In fairness to me I got lucky with The Nat'nals, as opposed actively seeking 'glory', thank you Mr Tony.

Although now I'm there with Strausberg, Soriano and certainly with Harper we  have all the quality and excitement bases covered, pun intended.

Yeah I only support the Nats as I saw them play when I was in the states :D Great start though, will be awesome if they can get three shutouts in a row this evening - think I may sign up to MLB TV and watch it.

I'm also going to follow the Cubs this season as I'm seeing them play Cincinnati in June. Not sure if that's dirty and wrong, but they seem like a pretty cool (and not very good) side and I'd like to be knowledgeable about the current roster and how they're getting on when I'm over there!

Texas bounce back with back-to-back shutouts. Yu Darvish one out away from a perfect game! If we get our pitching together we will challenge again big time.

Working on a business trip to Toronto early June that'll let me see the BlueJays-Rangers series that weekend.

I guess you should wait to see if it's the free game.

How did to find the coverage yesterday, Easy 10, it was certainly really good, even though I was struggling to watch the actual games, last year.

Oh and 5-live Sports Extra occasionally has live commentary to snuggle up in bed with.

Superb. The live feed was pin-sharp and didn't break up once. Next time, I'm going to link the lappy up to my TV and watch it on the big screen.

Just reading the reviews of the GOAT burgers at Target Field....ok, $13 ain't cheap but...

Twins fans can indulge in Zimmern’s outstanding burger, a rich, super-savory 75-25 goat-lamb grind. It’s carefully grilled to pink medium-rare juiciness, tarragon- and chive-infused butter melts into the toasted bun, the patty is garnished with roasted tomatoes and charred onions and it’s served in a paper boat with crisp and generously seasoned house-fried potato chips.

OK. Its goat. But it still sounds outSTANDing :lolol:

That's ok then.

As said baseball wasn't for me at the end of last season, although I'll try again.
But a la the NBA I was struck by how good the coverage was, I guess it's something they can 'give up' as there's so many games.
Unlike the NFL where all games are 'Premier League'.

I don't think the Yanks could handle NSC turning up, en masse, for a game.

They are – good night for NYC sports, the Yankees got beaten again (woohoo) and both the Rangers and the Knicks won

It's bloody annoying that you can't use MLB TV on the PS3 over here but you can on the xbox.

Oh and Nats not the free game this evening, I think I'll subscribe, would like to see the game vs Reds on Sunday too. May as well give it a bash.

A-Rod will get paid more this year than the entire Houston roster. ($29m)

You can if you set up a USA PS network account.

I was reading about that but someone said they'd stopped it being possible by making you enter credit card details or something to verify location?
