Arsenal are favourites to buy White, Bissouma, Zaha and James Maddison.
And will probably end up signing none of them and end up selling Smith-Rowe!
If they do, out of that list I think Zaha is the most likely. He screams Arsenal to me. Will have good days and turn it on against lower leagues side but ultimately flatter to deceive and turn out to be a disappointment at the end of his three years there with Arsenal finishing between 8th and 10th in every one of the three seasons.

No idea what he was worth last year because the club didn't sell him.
The last bid according to Bielsa was £30m.
And he's presumably not "worth" £40m now because still the club haven't sold him and there's reports Albion want £50m+
Maguire went to Man Utd for £80m after only 2 years Premier League experience.

In all seriousness, are "big club" fans actually properly thick? I genuinely wonder if they have a single clue on how transfers work.
We want X player. We should bid 50% of his value. Wait, the selling club don't want to sell? Who do they think they are? Don't they know that we're Arsenal/Man U/Leeds/Spurs etc. We didn't het him? Meh, he was sh!t anyway. Never wanted him.
They seem to have no clue that the selling club has any say and is in fact in the driving seat. They also have no idea that a player's value isn't about how much they're worth in the marketplace, more how much they're worth to the selling club. Was Ake worth £50m as a player? God no. Was that how much he was worth for Bournemouth? Yep, and that's all that matters.
Ignoring Brighton, look at the United bid for Sancho last year. They were clear, you want Sancho, pay £110m. So what do United do? Bid £75m, £80m, £90m and then give up and act like a spurned lover. It's the same this summer, DORTMUND HAVE NAMED THEIR PRICE. Pay it or do one!
Anyway, rant over. At least at the end of the summer I can guarantee one of two things. Either Ben White is still a Brighton player, or we'll have wrung every penny out of a potential transfer. Whichever one happens suits me nicely.

Your last sentence brings a warm glowing feeling to all Brighton fans. We are in very good hands with the whole club setup.
I love the idea they do this in every scenario where a transaction is involved. Picking up a tin of beans in Tesco and going "this says 30p, I'll give you 10p and a further 10p to be paid over the next two years...I'm sorry, did you say no? Do you know who I am?"
Some are. After going through this with the Leeds fans all last summer I think it’s not just ‘big club fans’, some people are sadly just thick. Or more politely, not very clued up with business and the concept of buying and selling.
Last summer the go to logic appeared to be:
“Ben White’s not worth £40m is he. So we’ll offer £25m. That’s a fair amount. And Brighton need a striker, so you can use the £25m for that”.
It’s like me going up to someone’s flat which isn’t for sale. Saying, it’s not worth X, I think it’s worth Y so that should be enough to conclude the deal. Psychologically fascinating. No concept of the sellers perspective at all. Quite baffling really.

Some have little idea how the transfer world works
Some are brainwashed with years of their team usually getting what they want to know any different
Some conveniently spin a transfer story in favour of their club, exaggerating the worth of their own players and downplaying others.
Its probably the same for every club, but the top 6 are definitely worse. Its what happens when you become a global name in football and gain loads of armchair fans who get all their info from instagram.

sounds like Arsenal are doing the equivalent of spamming car dealers with spurious offers for cars they can't afford and then make a call if some responds with a distressed sale.

Saw on some news page that Ben is looking for houses in London and told his 'friends' at Leeds he is going to Arsenal.

All this Arsenal talk on transfers does seem odd. They're never usually linked with so many. If you believe the papers Arsenal are going to sign White, Bissouma, Maddison, Ramsdale, Ryan, Odegaard, Lokonga, Onana, Aarons, and Neves.

They'll spend big this summer without doubt. Their owners have arguably (with Man United) had the worst fall out from the ESL catastrophe and spending big this summer is a quick way of minimising that ill feeling in the short term. They have also just had their worst season in a quarter of a century - it's a big plaster to cover up all of their inefficiencies and hopefully we'll benefit big from it..

You can disregard that source. It was some local Leeds website that is still burning with resentment that all their scoops about Ben joining them last Summer turned out to be made up nonsense.
No cant agree if it comes from someone in Leeds it must be true, they all know him better than his own mother does.
