But that’s exactly the point about a flakey fanbase.
This idea that our fanbase is flakey is absurd.

We are a provincial club and you only have to look at gates since the Amex was built to see that it's nothing of the sort. Even this game, with its stupid kick off time, stadium-specific transport issues, and being shown live on TV, it will still attract a gate of well north of 27k, maybe as high as 31k. I very much doubt any provincial club would have been much different in similar circumstances, even those with historically bigger support.

A bit of advice if anyone's got any to give.

I bought my season ticket seat in the WSU. High up towards the back.

My 10 year old daughter now wants to go. I assume there would have been loads of tickets near my but its now all greyed out. I'm assuming closed rather than sold.

Do I a) sit and wait and see if seats near me come available.

B) contact the club and try and get tickets together elsewhere and cancel my ST seat?
I’d contact the club if I was you. They’ll probably give you a pair near there, or wherever you want.

And how does that money get there in the first place? By being a massive club. And you can’t tell me that players don’t care if they play in front of 30,000 or 60,000, of course it makes a difference. How many massive clubs in the world are there that only get 30,000?
Television money.

Offer a player an extra £20K a week or he can play in front of 50K fans on the same wages?

Like what happens now, but it has to work both ways doesn't it from next season ???
If they are listed then you’ve met what the club has asked. If the game hasn’t sold out and they’ve not gone on sale the club can’t punish anyone if you’ve done what they asked.

As someone else said all games sell out anyway, at the moment there are over two weeks until the league game against Chelsea, so still plenty of time for the exchange to open and listed tickets to have a chance of selling.

Yep, did that cheers. Turns out the seat right next to me was free, just not publicly available through the website. Obviously want the lower tiers full first.

I suspect if we beat forest, there may be a sudden mojo based run on tickets again.

It feels quite unusual that the Chelsea league game hasn't sold out yet, with just over two weeks to go.

I guess it's a combination of the pain-in-the-arse kick-off time and the Cup match that precedes it. If you were a casual fan, particularly with a family to buy for too, £25 a ticket is going to save you a lot relative to the League fixture.

Support being spread out over the 2 games I guess. Not many people if they had a ticket to a football match (which has cost you a fair bit of money for the day out) would say yes if asked 'would you like to spend all that money again watching exactly same fixture at the same stadium in 6 days time?'.

C) get her one in the same block, I’m sure (very sure) you’ll find two seats together

Its unusual as normally your top 6 london clubs barely get beyond the A+ window. Nonetheless its still pretty close to selling out. Fewer than 300 left.

Will be interesting to see how many are on the exchange if/when it does sell out....

Aren't the whole of the WSU and the ESU closed though (for now)?
CUP GAME ONLY: No. Just The back rows of the upper stands are not on sale. The front rows of the stands are on sale and nearly sold out.
PREMIER LEAGUE GAME: 200 odd tickets left. Nearly full sell out.
