I'll be there, but didn't go last night. Not sure I'm allowed to go nowSee you at Southampton?
I was surprised at the East Upper attendance, thought they'd stopped selling tickets. I was in row C and was delighted that so many Dads with kids were around me. When the teams came out so did all the mobile phones, fans of the future. And yes, all Albion fans with sparkly new scarfs and hats.Anyone know what the attendance was.
A lot more than I was expecting.
West Upper looked 90% full.
Your absolutely correct about some people with totally valid and legitimate reasons for not going. However, I kind of understand the posters reaction. Not in recent times have I witnessed quite so many posts trying to be funny and almost triumphal about not attending. When people mentioned travel issues how many replies were like " 19.15 finish dinner, 19.45 poor wine, 19.55 take up position on couch ". It all got a little tedious and this was undoubtedly from some people who lived locally and not travelling from outside of Sussex.Grow up man - people have their reasons for not going. Many have other things going on in their lives, financial reasons, young families, travel reasons etc. Football isn't the be all and end all. Why write such a twattish post after a great win that those watching at home enjoyed too?
They should definitely be handing you a super fan badge, which at the very least entitles you to skip the queues on Friday, which will have been caused by the return of all the bad fans…Blah blah blah - I’m far from well off personally. Excuses to virtue signal don’t wash with me/ this football and many chose not to support cos they made up sole excuse in their head. Not all of course - but many.
The moment Veltman clattered the hair bear and the whole northstand launched into the Joel Veltman song, you just don't get those feels on your TV.Your absolutely correct about some people with totally valid and legitimate reasons for not going. Personally, witnessing a glorious win in person trumps every time watching it on TV.
Or it was a Saturday evening, giving more chance for people to sink a few beers & get merryAs I said earlier on this thread, I totally understand peoples reasons for not attending. However, the atmosphere and feel around the stadium was much more positive than usual even before we started winning. It does make you wonder if the more negative element of our fanbase stayed away last night.
Sorry you decided not to go Lee.They should definitely be handing you a super fan badge, which at the very least entitles you to skip the queues on Friday, which will have been caused by the return of all the bad fans…![]()
Go to say very much enjoyed different view from Row B/WC3 - was more noisy than i thought it would be, and getting a half time CruzCampo from the e-bar would be unthinkable from normal N1H position. North stand, you sounded great, and we'll be back Friday.!2 of us taking a day trip to WSU..we'll be back for league game, dont worry.

yeah. i could not go because of family reasons - and as it turns out injuring my back on the saturday (i'm still doubled in pain now). I commented on here about me not thinking that the psychology of the on the day price rise being wise, especiaslly when there were plenty of tickets available. That doesnt make me a bedwetter.Grow up man - people have their reasons for not going.
