Interesting- as Poyet said in an interview recently he'd like a team of a size of around 22 players..

We might have a chance of winning with a [BOLD]team[BOLD] of around 22 players. If only the Albion were allowed to do that....

I'd be very dissapointed and surprised if we got rid of 15.
My predicition - 9 OUT, 4 IN.

Agreed, 7 or 8 out though.

The "get rid of the whole squad" brigade have very short memories. It wasn't the cure to all our problems when Slade did it, so why do they think it would work any better this time?

Today's performance was ample evidence of the need for a HUGE clear out. It wasn't just the painful lack of skill, but add to that the embarrassing lack of passion. Some guys were just walking around at the end. It showed how much we missed Dicker, but also demonstrated that if a couple of the key players (in this case McNulty and Forster) have off-days, the rest are a waste of time.

Get the clear-out started pronto.....too many in this squad just aren't fit to wear the stripes - and I really sympathise with whichever team they are unlucky enough to turn out for next.

keep :
Murray
Dickinson
Crofts
Dicker
Tunniclife
Bennet
Mcnulty
Kuipers
The rest of them can f*** off.

Add Forster to that list, and possibly Elphick and El Abd as cover, and you're spot on. It doesn't take a genius to realise the rest are a waste of space who have no real desire to play for this club.

[With the honourable exceptions, I think, of Hart and Whing - who unfortunately just aren't good enough]

Rumour at Withdean today was that there was a board meeting in the week where Poyet recommended getting rid of FIFTEEN current squad players in the January transfer window - and buying SIX new players.

Sounds like the kind of drastic action required.

For we are deeply mediocre and show no signs of improvement.

This rumour was where in your head? Woss nobody knows anything.

Complete unfounded speculation.

Someone mentioned that we can't just get rid of players with contracts, but why can't some of the money be used to pay up contracts for players like Livermore, Hawkins and McCloud.

Rumour I heard today in the Legends Lounge was that Poyet would be gone in two weeks, off to Spain. Not what I wanted to hear but my ears were open. Also denis wise was at the game today with some tall bloneish bloke, that's not a rumour, he was there.

I can't really at the moment what this is doing for Gus's CV apart from making it not very pleasant reading.

Unless the rumour is well founded and Bloom is going to allow Gus to completely change the team to make it his own, which you can see it is obvious he is not happy with some of the players, then I would have thought he would jump at a chance to move on, thank the club politely and close the door on his way out.

I woudl be extremely dissapointed, however I could understand it

GP would have known full well what he had to face. He was aware of the constraints of the stadium and players and like all managers has to wait until Jan to change the staff.

He will be judged on what he does in Jan as at present it is NOT his team.....He has given the players a chance to prove their worth......

Now it is his time to prove his..

brilliant 9 players missing throughout the WHOLE squad.

f***ing marvellous, very encouraging BRAVO

Did you cut your Jacob's off and lose your f***ing common sense along with it?
We virtually had a new team last summer and now we're getting another squad in next summer. Let's face it if this is true in the slightest of ways it will only happen next summer because neither Poyet nor Bloom are fans of the January transfer market.

DON'T GET YOUR HOPES UP FOR WHAT IS TOO HAPPEN IN THE JANUARY TRANSFER MARKET:dunce:

Yeah, but that was when Slade brought in players. This time Poyet will be bringing in players and he won't bring in any duds. He knows the secret to signing only players that live up to expectation, and not those that have potential and could find brighton as a fresh beginning but fail to do so for one reason or another. He'll have 2gazillion to spend, and money always brings quality, look at how it has worked for Toure or Lescott at Man City or 90% of Benitez's signings for Liverpool.
