A mate of mine went and said it was the biggest joke of a gig he has ever had the misfortune to attend.

She was an hour and a half late, you coul dbarely understand what she was singing, and she had to restart songs. All in a total shambles. He made a couple fo comments and people in the crowd told him to be quiet as it was "Amy" so therefore substandard performances are to be applauded.

Shes blatently ripping people off imo.

Pretty much what I heard from a mate as well.

If that was any other act people would be demanding a refund, but she seems to get away with it.

Oh for f***'s sake - what do people expect? She's a mess. A drug-addled mess. More than likely she'll be dead in 5 years time. People go for the car-crash spectacle of it all.

Your mates will be dining out on the story of the Amy Winehouse shambles concert for years after.

One of my favouritest ever gigs was seeing MArk E Smith at the Assembly Rooms in Worthing. He arrived late, drunk took a swing at the bass player and ended up on the floor. End of gig.

A privilege to see such a sight. (Did anyone else go to that one?)

f***ing hate the over-rated druggy bitch. Personally thing radio stations should stop overplaying her warbling crap and ban her until she sorts herself out

Yeah let's ban all music that's made by people with drink, drugs or depression problems. Alternate tracks by Cliff Richard and Westlife, yeah!

Didn't see that one, but did go to a Cramps gig in Brighton (Top Rank? ca.1986), where, about half an hour in, Lux Interior downed two bottles of red wine in 10 seconds, took all his clothes off, climbed atop one of the speaker stacks, then sat there for 20 minutes bashing himself in the testicles with a microphone until Poison Ivy and the others could talk him down again and lead him off stage...

Or there was the Teardrop Explodes at the Hammersmith Palais (ca 1982), when Julian Cope takes his shirt off, empties a jar of honey over his chest, and spends 20 minutes massaging himself...

Mr Ryder and co in Newcastle in 2005. As we all know hes forgotten the words to all the songs so he has them on autocue. Problems arose as he couldnt see the autocue. The sight of the tour manager, who obviously didnt know how the songs went, kneeling in front of Ryder shining a torch on the autocue and the wrong words will live with me for years.

Those are f***ing great stories!!

The damned in about 2002 at the Concorde 2. Capt Sensible egging on the crowd to chuck things at Dave Vanian (sp?) who - after getting hit with a water bottle storms off stage halfway through Eloise. Punks eh?

An awful awful night at the old Concorde around 1998. "That stupid Club" it was billed as (Kurt Cobain's mother said it about him joining the dead pop stars club) - comprising a poetry evening by lesbians and transexuals followed by a dj set by Mark E Smith. Apparently ME (the disease) affects lesbians far more than anyone else and one of the poets came on in her jimjams and a duvet and whined about being the invisible minority. Cue lots of Fall fans shouting "who said that" and "i'm invisible and so's my wife". My mate got in a fight with a 6ft 3 bloke in a pink bikini and Mark E came on 2 hours late, played crap songs by the likes of Bradford and throbbing gristle and then f***ed off home. What a night!

I dont think he expected the performance of a lifetime but the songs to barely resemble the studio recording would have been a reasonable expectation. To be honest she should pull the tour becasue all thats happening is shes being exploited by her management who are cashing in on the car crash.

Great voice but songs are a bit samey. On the plus side, she's slim and completely fruit loop so I'd definitely give her one.

she is onlyslim because of the eating disorder she has and the drugs she takes, she wasn't always a stick insect..

I was there last night. She got on at about quarter past ten, which was probably 45 minutes late (although this meant a lot of people missed the end to get trains, etc).

I thought she took a couple of songs to get going but her voice was good once she warmed up. I was at the back so didn't see her close up but she seemed fairly coherent to me. She has always changed the lyrics to her songs in a sort of scat Jazz style.

In summary everyone is entitled to an opinion but I didn't think she was that bad.

She was expected on at about quarter past nine, and eventually turned up about an hour afterwards, by which point elements of the crowd were starting to become fairly hostile.

She did appear completely off her face, although you can't deny the woman has a phenomenal voice. A few people- not half the crowd- did leave before she came on, or part way through.

I thought it was probably not much different to listening to her album- not much wrong with the voice, but there was very little engagement with the crowd, probably because she could barely remember where she was, therefore you'd be better off paying a tenner for the album as opposed to whatever it was people paid for a ticket (I was working so have no idea).

Beats me how she manages to belt out any songs at all in her condition- if she can sing like that half cut, who knows what she'd sound like completely sober.
