Last night i found it very hard to enjoy the game, not because of the performance but because of 2 fans sitting behind me who whinged and moaned at the top of their voices throughout the whole match.
I actually came away from the game with my ears ringing because of the screaming, i wouldn't mind if it'd been screaming praise and support but it was just horrible negative abuse towards the bench, the players and every pass, touch, header you could see.

They sat in block E right at the back underneath where the cameras are. It really made me realise why some people go to football matches, in hope for a slip up just to be negative. Who do these people think they are?
Brighton is a club losing support and to sit in the ground surrounded by negativity dosen't encourage future generations of fans to arrive, these fans behind me were screaming abuse for everyone around them to hear, piss take if you ask me as i'm a fan who claps everything good on the pitch and will scream 'Comon!' if we're doing bad but one thing i dont do like most fans is sit there whinging and moaning when we're chasing 3 points in a relegation scrap.

Anyone else experience the fans i'm talking about?

Not them but there are many more in the ground just like them. It is frustrating at times and sometimes i shout at the players, but constant abuse is just stupid.

I'm not that far from you in D Block.

Every misplaced, intercepted or non-completed pass was met with grief, and some of it with abuse. 'Cox, you useless f***ing wanker, you f***ing cunt, I hate you...' 'Carole, you prick' etc

Did my head in.

I sat in E block just in front of the cameras for the Oldham game last season, when we played very well and won, but despite that I remember there still being negativity and moaning from the poeple sitting near me.

I have pretty much decided that last night will be my last Withdean experience as the whinging is just too much. There is so little support for the team.

But surely that's counterproductive? If you aren't whinging, and want to support the team, wouldn't it be better to carry on watching at Withdean, and actually make an effort to vocally support them?

If you give up the whingers will have won... we'll end up with a stadium 1/4 full, and all of them miserable whining c**ts.

We don't want that, surely?

I too am in Block E, but I'm in the centre of it. I know the 2 twats you're referring to though, but sadly, they're not the only ones. There are too many people who just want to abuse people an consider it acceptable during a football match, which is a mentality I don't get. I don't understand why people think paying £25 (which is far too much I agree) gives them the right to call someone a "f***ing useless wanker". That offends me, it really does. It's out of order and unneccessary.

I was one of those people who you are talking about and from my memory I did not moan about " the players and every pass, touch, header you could see." I admit I got rather upset at the crazy substitutions by Booker and White, but I say again I did not moan at every pass, touch and header you could see. In fact on many occasions I remember praising certain players for good tackles or passes.
You must have had difficulty hearing with your headphones on, if that was you.
If that is you with the headphones and hat on, I also don't really remember you clapping everything that is good and shouting C'mon much either.
I feel you are exaggerating what was actually going on and you were definitely being selective with your hearing because on a number of of occasions I praised a player's pass or tackle, how come you didn't hear that?
I admit the person I sit next to and I do moan from time to time but that has not put off the people who sit around us enough to move from the same places that they have sat in since we have played at Withdean.
If you had a problem with our so called moaning, why did you not say something to our faces last night instead of putting it up on a message boards?

I'm a twat am I?
Have you heard me call someone a useless wanker then? Who is this someone, a player, coach or manager? Or are you referring to someone else?
I can safely say I have never called an Albion player a useless wanker, I may have called one or two of our managers that, but never a player.

I don't know who it was (and it might have been more than one group of people) but I swear they didn't shut up during the entire second half!
