Have they confirmed an attendance yet?
Will be on the BBC Sport website later.

Unlike some other WSL sides, Albion are normally both prompt and transparent with gate numbers.

GOAL - Brighton 1-2 Everton

Guro Bergsvand own goal (72 mins)

What happened there?
A mix up in the Brighton defence during an Everton attack leads to the ball being bundled into the back of the Seagulls' net.
It was hard to say if it came off keeper Sophie Baggaley or Guro Bergsvand but the goal has been given against the Norway international.

Yes, confirmed now.

6,951 at the Amex back in October for the visit of Spurs, so almost 1/3rd down on that.

Despite South Today's enthusiasm on the news, they were never likely to break the attendance record with an evening game.

Lessons to be learned.

An evening dead rubber against less attractive/local opposition with fewer away fans. Not really a shock.

Not that long ago the men were getting 5000 at Withdean.

I enjoyed the game, thought BHA were better for the most part. What an awful goal to concede though

Disappointing to lose especially by giving away a scrappy own goal. Thought first half we were a bit negative (sideways/backwards passing) and then just lumping the ball forward, though we did have a few chances. Second half we seemed to settle a bit and looked to be more attacking but then faded a bit and Everton wanted it a little bit more as then needed the points. Still at least we are still above them in the table, even if only on goal difference.

Anyone else notice several players slipping over second half? Do they *have* to water the pitch at halftime?

I thought Carabali was one of our best players before that howler. Terland looked good up front.

Carabali has looked grown into the team as shes had more game time, but is still prone to a few lapses of judgement. Goals may have dried up for Terland recently probably as a consequence of the team confidence as a whole, but we'd have been relegated without her this season. Have to hope that we can hold onto her, Robinson and Baggaley in the summer and build the team around them.

Lee who came on as a second half substitute gave the Everton far more to think about and was always looking to pass into dangerous areas rather than the square pass like most others.
Has she been injured or not thought to be strong enough to start?
The first half was even and we looked by far the better side second half.
Everton never really looked threatening and we gifted them their winner.

Seems to be out of favour since the change of manager.
Still can't work out why that happened, must have been something behind the scenes.
Hopefully we can rebuild over the summer and properly embed the new style.
There are decent players in the team, just need to somehow get the confidence up.

Lee was loaned from and then bought from Man City as a striker, but has never really delivered on that front though she has scored some good goals. Always plays with a lot of energy, and does have a neat touch but sometimes is a bit of a headless chicken and doesn't make her passes. Think she might be better moved to midfield rather than as a forward, to try and drive the team on.

We may never know what happened with Phillips, but it was all very odd and happened so fast - from taking the prematch conference to being sacked in just a few hours. Haven't seen anything from her since. Harris hasn't done too badly as stand in, especially knowing so little about the womens game, but I'm not sure he is someone who can take this team up the table.

The cynic in me thinks a Friday night, end of season dead rubber against an unglamorous Everton side was almost designed to attract a shit crowd so the club can say "See, the women don't attract people so we don't play many games at the Amex"

Thought it was a good game though. Terland is a proper striker. If we've got any ambition, she's got to be tied down to a new contract asap.
