Yep hands up, that is me. Before I get a hiding for the quote, I've found it to generally be true. You don't see the likes of Ferandez, Saha etc. It's nice to not see it tbh, I could've strangled Ferandez at Wembley last year.
The ladies just get up and get on with it, Liverpool women is the first time I've seen such drama. Their centre half even waving an imaginary yellow card at the ref at one point. Would just be nice not to see these theatrics coming into the ladies game.
We don't see it with players at the Albion, (perhaps Facundo Buonanotte has his moments, but can ignore that - he has come good ).
Have you seen many of our games? Thoughts?

Were you sitting in the main stand by any chance?

It’s amazing how many clueless twats go to football.

A referee has a duty of care to the players.
If a player goes down, holding a head or looks seriously injured. The game is going to stop. Any ref would do the same.

On one instance the Liverpool player was rolling around on the penalty spot, what should we do. Play round her ?

Maybe you should only be allowed 2 players to go down during a game injured.
Then anymore, they are sent off.

At the end of the 2 halves there is a board which goes up, for injury time. It allows for time lost for such antics.

The caution count was interesting

Brighton 0
Liverpool 4 + 1 red

Suggesting the referee dealt with the dirty scouse bastards.

The difference between the teams was only a brighton mistake (or are we blaming the ref as well?)

Some of these “experts” need to go on a referee course and start refereeing Sunday morning.

But they would need to learn to be impartial
And not short sighted.

But its the going down in the first place that needs to be stopped. The ref needs to red card it for repeat simulation offences, but thats not happening in the mens game as much as needed, and now really angry to see it creeping into the womens game. Falling to the floor and feigning injury when there is no such injury is the issue here. If that were stmaped out with some sort of penalisastion then genuine injuries are clear for the game to be stopped. At the moment the ref hasn't got a chance...A little bit of sportsman (or woman) ship wouldn't go amiss particularly from the women, I thought they were better than that crap sadly...

There must be many, given the sarcastic cheers when we were given a decision. Everyone around me was expressing dissatisfaction.
You refer to the incident where we were on the attack & their player hits the deck. Not a head injury, gets up with no issues and the many "twats" you refer to collectively booing?
Shouldn't the player have been told to go off the pitch too, as others had done beforehand? Do they not teach consistent application of rules in the refereeing course?
The extra time doesn't make up for that attack hey, but thank-you for making me aware a board shows us added time.
Seems the commentators need a course too, judging by your comment.
The referee was terrible, getting sucked in by Liverpool, who have clearly been coached to hit the deck on any contact. Are you also advocatIng waving an imaginary yellow without a booking?
The refs in the ladies game are generally very good, but todays ref was bloody awful. The Albion ladies were clearly fed up with it too.

A mistake which followed a drop ball taken 20 yards back from where the Liverpool player got a ball to the face. It went back that far because the ref did nothing to stop 3 Liverpool players crowding her and our player, other than walk towards our goal.
It’s gamesmanship like that that the ref wasn’t dealing with, not helped by their captain being constantly in her face.
Potential attacking positions were repeatedly cut off because the ref had to stop the game, allowing the defence to get organised and immediate pressure to build from the restart. Sure, you can add the time but that’s not the point. It is basically what Fulham have done to us the last couple of seasons. It’s allowed to be effective by the ref being weak.

The ref follows the laws!
And yesterday’s ref did.

Referees haven’t got a chance currently.

The whole image of football needs to change and that includes supporters perspectives.

From a neutral I’m struggling to see the issue.

Brighton were beaten by their own mistake.
Overwise it would have been 0-0

Football fans need to stop taking the easy route and blaming the ref when things don’t go there way.

The Sheffield fans think atwell is a **** for sending a player off after ten minutes.

We would think the ref is a **** for sending off a player in similar fashion.

Fans perception of the game needs to change. It’s not always the refs fault.

The ref was poor yesterday and all bar one of the stoppages weren't for head injuries. Also prior to the Liverpool goal the ref twice broke up Albion attacks for free kicks that we had moved on from. The Liverpool players were feigning injury all over the shop, it was pretty pathetic.

As for the Albion, I thought the general play was pretty good but the final ball was severely lacking in quality. Very impressed with Bremer when she came on second half. There are definitely signs of promise with this team, but it goes without saying that they need to add a cutting edge to their promising build up play.

No one has said it is always refs fault - check the posts!
Comparing it to Attwell sending off Jackie Chan is non comparable.
You are obviously a ref yourself, hence defending such a poor performance.

Unfortunately, there's still a huge gulf between the top two/three, then four/six, then the rest for whom it's really just a case of avoiding relegation. I hope that with time it will become more competitive.
