Albion planning apps pt 1 - IMPORTANT

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
I am not a planning expert, although I studied a fair amount of planning at uni, but plenty of planning applications do not meet the target date for the decision.

I would imagine they have had plenty of letters in support, but also plenty objecting (we know who!).

Latest for the Stanmer park road straight from Kate at the planning office is

More than 5 objections to this(wonder who they were from) so has to go to the planning commitee. Date set for the hearing is 18th June

Decision date for the extension of use at Withdean (BH2008/00379) is also 18th June so presumably that's going to 'committee' as well.

That was the original date when the applications were first published so i presume that was going straight to commitee though.

The original date for the link road was 5th May

Meeting (Planning Sub-Committee) is at Hove Town Hall (Council Chamber) at 2pm and is open to the public (...hmmmmm) - no agenda on the BHCC website as yet.
An idea why this isn't a sticky anymore?

MODS can you make this a sticky again please

I've just spoken with the BHCC Planning Officer responsible for BH2008/00565
(Stanmer Park road - widening and improvement of the single-track access road from the A270 Lewes Road to the entrance to Stanmer Park) and she advised that the application is still scheduled for the Planning Committee meeting on 18th June (Hove Town Hall - 2pm).
The application has been referred because of the number of letters of objection and support that have been received by the Council.
As has been posted before, these meetings are open to the public and the Withdean 'extension' to 2011 (BH2008/00379) is also scheduled for the same meeting. Interestingly (or maybe not), one of the councillors on the Committee (Ken Norman) represents the Withdean Ward.

Details and Provisional Timings for the remaining Four 'Falmer' Planning Applications

Application to deposit the excavated chalk on Village Way South – due to be submitted Mid July

Application for City College new educational building adjacent to the stadium – due to be submitted Mid July

Application for temporary accommodation for the Football Club and Stadium company offices – due to be submitted Mid July.
