So please explain how this incident fits into your beliefs.

I think you've clearly shown that there's no hope for people who consider football hooliganism to be acceptable. I don't care how you try to justify it, it's just plain STUPID.

If you "by this incident" are referring to the incindent between the individuals residing in the BN1 and North London area it would probably come down to my "boys will be boys" belief.

For the record, I haven't said hooliganism is acceptable......

yes , basic error there, must try harder :D
Not really. Just stop referring to people as a bobble hatted dunce every time you see a post that annoys your tiny aggressive mind, and people might not think of you as a twat of the highest order.

The difficulty in comprehension seems to lie with the participants who seem to have overlooked the fact that being arrested as a result of this sort of incident will INEVITABLY lead to a custodial sentence these days.

The question is though should it be when plenty of others things happen? Such as fighting up town every weekend?

Would the charges be different if it was 2 stag doos fighting eachother for instance?

do you think that bothers me in the slightest  Simeon, your just clutching at straws :dunce:

Odd reply. How you interpret "respectable" and "victims" from what I wrote is beyond me

It is all in the eye of the beholder.

To clarify:
-They have my respect.
-Not claimed they are victims although it is clear in my eyes (given the length of sentencing) that they are victims of abuse from the system/politicians/police....

How the hell do you NOT GET how I come to that interpretation, when you just confirmed it underneath (i.e. "they have my respect"/"they are VICTIMS of abuse")??

Mate, I am living among people who don't have English as a first language, and even they can communicate and understand it better than you just have!

Here are YOUR WORDS again;
I am disgusted by not only the sentences but also with argus for running with this story.
Have met some of these lads on a few occasions and have nothing but respect for them. My thoughts are with them and their families.
The way argus hangs them out will only hurt their wifes, kids, parents, grand parents etc. This after 74 died in Egypt yesterday..... Speaks volume about the argus in my mind

I hope they get out very soon!

All of that spells out that you find them *respectable* and you see them as being *victimised*.

That's a question that the authorities have no doubt thought about.

Almost certainly ... YES.

Why haven't they got your respect?

I want to live in a society where people are judged on the character they portray in everyday real life and not by a wank argus (lets pour fuel on the fire and sell more copies) article.

How odd - what has the argus got to do with a bunch of blokes thinking its accpetable to beat the shit out of each other? They havent got my respect because imo they are complete morons for getting involved in this. It is in there character to do this and they deserve nothing but contempt.

But surely the fighting that goes on up town every weekend as you put it, is spontaneous fisticuffs as a result of too much alcohol or someone looking at someone else girlfriend the wrong way?

This incident would surely have been a pre-arranged meetingup with the sole intention of having a fight? Completely different in my opinion. I find it hard to have any symapthy towards any of those convicted.

You are right, not proven. BUT given that it was fight based around a football match, I think the authorities have made an assumption that such a fight was pre-meditated and therefore completely avoidable. I mean, if that isn't the case then what were the "away fans" doing roaming a quiet residential street miles from the ground?

but you respect people for fighting in the street over football?? It appears to condone it and therefore make it acceptable?

Another fact 2 tottenham lads went not guilty back in december and it didnt even stand up in court, got thrown out within hours. The authorities shouldnt be assuming things, just wouldnt stand up in court.

In my opinion if all had gone NG, they would have walked.

Proper stitch up
