Are we doing a Leeds here and coming up with reasons why Arsenal will sell one their brightest prospects to us?!

Not really the same is it.

If we loaned him and said “oh we made him the player he is”, Chuck in a lack of understanding of the loan system then you’re veering into deluded Leeds territory.

Just spoken to my mate whose doing some plumbing work for AMN's girlfriend's dad and he says that AMN is taking Arsenal to court as they won't let him out of his contract to come down here and play Potterball.

More to the point how’s the plumbing work coming along?

wait for Coutinho to get over the line for hard up Arsenal, (who, incidentally have made 55 workers redundant !) and he will be ours .

Although a striker and a left-back are the main targets remaining for Brighton, they could still do other business if an opportunity arises. They have been linked with Arsenal’s adaptable England Under-21 midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who would fit the Potter mould. A source chose his words carefully during the final week of the season, informing The Athletic that Maitland-Niles is “not on our list at this point”.

Sounds like it's not going to happen.

These aren't the players you're looking for.

Seems odd to add these caveats.

I'd suggest that it indicates he is of interest but Arsenal don't want to discuss a transfer yet.

Once they have completed their own business, This may change.

Or that it's already a done deal...

Or Naylor is stirring the pot because he doesn't want to commit all in to a no a la CMS...

Article on line (Daily Mirror) recently from Mr Arsenal reporter John Cross with the headline "Arsenal tell Ainsley Maitland-Niles he can leave despite FA Cup heroics"

Arsenal have made FA Cup final hero Ainsley Maitland-Niles available for transfer.

Gunners midfielder Maitland-Niles, 22, played a major part in the Wembley triumph and is rated highly by Mikel Arteta but the club are open to a sale.

It is a bizarre stance but underlines the club needing to make financial decisions and it is likely to alert other Premier League clubs who could move on the versatile former England under-21 international.

Bitter rivals Tottenham are looking for a new right back as they look to sell Serge Aurier this summer while Kyle Walker-Peters is joining Southampton as part of the Pierre-Emile Højbjerg deal.

Everton and Brighton are also interested in Maitland-Niles who was part of England’s under-20s World Cup winning team in 2017.

The Sun seem to think Arsenal would want £30million for him.... If true then he wont be coming to us.
