Scored for them at Millwall today. The home side did what plucky couldn't do to us, sadly. Very late equalizer.

Sadly for Aaron it seems his time with the Mackemā€™s so far hasnā€™t been a success. He got a rare 90 minutes (plus extra time, playing his first full game in a long while) as they exited the cup at home to Stoke. Pretty much universal ā€œget ridā€ on their forum.

Also, love the Connelly spelling - reassuring itā€™s not just us at NSC with our Houghtonā€™s, Andringaā€™s and Enciscoā€™s.

Tough gig going into a team that we flying and pushing for promotion. Surprised me at the time and not really surprised it hasnā€™t worked out.

All things considered, it seemed to be a stopgap solution for Sunderland and about making up their squad numbers.

If I was advising him, Iā€™d suggest lower your wage demands and expectations, find yourself a nice L1 or 2 club with the view of staying there a long time, start banging in the goals and become a fanā€™s favourite.

I think the potential Problem is the huge drop off in wages and it comes back to ā€˜motivationā€™

This is up to him. There's most likely still a decent career in him, just not at the level he was hoping for...or maybe even expecting. He'd still get a decent wage at a L1 or L2 club, with a lot of perks which come with being a pro-footballer. There's a lot of half-decent post-football careers at that level as well. If he really has a passion for football he will be fine. If not, find something else.

And he's just 24 so could carve out a career for another decade more.

Vardy was 25 when he went from Fleetwood Town to Leicester.

Agree, heā€™s need an Adam Le Fondre type gig
