Risk there is that he would take a pay cut with no guarantee of making it back up the leagues.

Can't blame him or his agent for getting him the best deal.
Depends if he wants stability and a career or not. He’s 25 in a few days, and on his 7th club with just 18 goals to his name in this time. I’d suggest the current approach isn’t working.

He's got a career, plenty of players have journeyman careers where they only play for a club for a season or two, probably make a decent living our of it with signing on bonuses etc.

After sorting out his off-field demons I can understand why he is still trying to make it at the highest level willing to offer him a deal rather than taking something with a club lower down the leagues. He probably feels he still has something to prove to himself after throwing away a potential Premier League career.

Brighton factually.....
Millwall or a team like Charlton would be a good fit for Aaron, he has the potential to be a good player for someone.
Good luck to him, demons are hard to suppress sometimes and acknowledging and taking ownership of them is the first step.
All the more power to him, he is not a bad lad.

Possibly. It just seems like Groundhog Day all the time with Connolly and his career.

Thinking about this more. I appreciate what you're saying but Millwall will be yet another making up the numbers/providing cover etc gig......just like Sunderland was. If I was his agent, as I have said before, last summer I'd have tried to find him a club who viewed him as a genuine squad/first team member. This would most likely be further down the food chain and lowering demands and expectations, swallowing pride etc. I guess agents are not interested in this as numerous deals like the new Millwall, regardless of whether he plays or not, are more financially rewarding. I just think he's wasting his career away. 18 goals in 8 years as a pro striker.......when does the penny drop?

Could be great for him. Wilson Isidor was too much to handle for Aaron but for Millwall he should have a realistic chance of being a regular starter.
Do you know how long has he signed for?

Good for him , and all that.
Its just amazing he keeps getting opportunities at such a high level.
He hasn’t really achieved anything, ever.

Good to hear he has another club. Hopefully things will kickstart.

I don't understand the comparison with Ferguson, completely different characters and situation though agree the latter has faltered. In EF case it may just be down to physical attributes, he wouldn't be the first big strapping 17-18 year old whose career drops. Let's hope it's a temporary hitch , we need him to come good.
