The trouble with people like butchy is that they see Muslims as one big homogenous group. My friend Nav drinks, takes drugs, doesn't fast at Ramadan, has a white girlfriend, hates religous intollerence of any kind, goes clubbing, makes me laugh etc etc etc. He is not unusual for a young British Muslim. Where do he and those like him fit into butchy's and algie's world? My guess is that they probably would rather pretend they don't exist than face up to their own ridiculous prejudice and ignorance.

Well what you would like & what you are going to get are 2 different things LI, Idealistic world's are fine but this is the real one i'm afraid. I can take the piss out of other people because I dont have a problem with people taking the piss out of me, I'm even happy taking the piss out of myself. We all like to take the piss but some of us can do it up front & not have to hide behind idealistic excuses!

Spot on. In a climate of increasing fear and intollerance on all sides it's only a short step from 'innocent' piss-taking to tyranny. That's why the context of these jokes makes them different from jokes about the IRA etc. To fail to see that is to be very stupid.

It all goes down to the old sayings of "If you cant take it dont give it" And "If you set yourself up as a target your there to be shot at".
