I'm fooking nervous man. Need to get into uni, innit.
Any idea when I'll be able to find out if I got in, on Ucas?
The media will whinge as usual.
If more kids get good grades, they'll say it's because standards are slipping, and we're dumbing down - the exams are too easy
If fewer kids get good grades, they'll say, er, it's because standards are slipping, and we're dumbing down - the kids are thick.
What IS exasperating about the press coverage is that looking at the pictures of students getting their results you would think that only good-looking young women study for A Levels.
Oh, you mean dumb blonding down.

To be fair, the media are mainly reporting the opinion of employers who believe that standards are slipping (ignoring the fact that training budgets are often the first thing to be cut) The press do tend to cover all viewpoints.

Not fair is it, the students can't win! There will be some sleepless nights tonight.
I'll be one of them!
Have a few of these
Whether they be commiseration or celebratory drinks, im planning to have quite a few.
