Had this last year, seems along time ago after my 1st year of uni. Good luck to everyone, A Level results night is awesome in town, one of my favourite all time nights out. Last year if you took your results slip into Yates and you got an A you got a free drink. Dunno if there doing it again this year.

Following on from the other thread it's really not the end of the world if you don't end up getting into University now.

Sounds easy I know, but myself and loads of others have gone back in later life whilst continuing to work.

I've just finishing a Masters and work with a girl doing a BA in Philosophy part time. I also work with a bloke during a drama degree and used to work with someone doing a History of art.

I could go on.

They love us oldies the Universities. We turn up to lectures and everything.

Good luck all the same, but don't let everyone tell you it's a major wrong turn in your life if you've got bad grades. It bloody isn't.

Well chuffed, my students got 99% pass rate (only one person got a U) and 55% of students either got an A or B. Not bad out of 173 student :)

A Levels are a lot easier now than they were in the mid 80's.

EDIT. In my apparently worthless and unreasoned opinion.

I dare you to take one, how about English Literature. You won't come out with much more than say a U.

I think you probably mean English Language:wink:

That's just my opinion so probably not a 100% fact except to me. I read a recent paper it was certainly less challenging than I remembered.
