Actually I’m not. Brighton more than deserved their wins against the Reds and Spurs.
If only we had played like that more often we would have been fighting at the other end of the table.

The goal against Liverpool was classic Brighton - liquid football (thanks AZ & AP) up until the finish and then almost messed it up.

A Liverpool supporting friend of mine called it a "spawny goal" and whilst he was wrong, after a wonderful passing move and a brilliant cutback from BDB, two unmarked Albion players with an open goal in front of them came very close to messing it up - our season in a nutshell (apart from the failure to miss).

....and if you watch Trossard's goal against Spurs,.. it wasn't a clean hit, not clinical after great approach play, but of course they all count.

We haven't played like this all season. We might not be scoring more goals but we are conceding less. We also have less possession than we have done in the past. It might be subtle but we are playing slightly different.

Someone on here recently mentioned a former Albion player calling Potter an "academy manager". On reflection I think this is spot on. Academy teams are all about instilling systems and philosophies, and developing youngsters. Results aren't so important. If you look at Potter's impact since arriving I find it hard to disagree with the notion of him being an "academy manager" rather than a first team manager.
