Personally, I don't think I'm clueless at all and I've given multiple reasons why. I'm not going to happy-clappily back Potter all the way to relegation, but we're not half way through the season yet and I still maintain he is being let down by some senior pros making basic mistakes and needing 3 times more chances to score than is reasonable. Most importantly, it doesn't look to me as if he's lost the dressing room.

We don’t need 7 wins - just as well because difficult to see where we’ll get them at the moment. Realistically we need something like 5 wins and 9/10 draws.....it should be easily doable and the Wolves comeback and City performance were at least a bit encouraging in that we haven’t given up, but we desperately need a win very soon - at least one of the next two games really - otherwise you can see all confidence draining away and trouble in the camp brewing.

We have been unfortunate in the first half of the season on many occasions eg Man Utd. I cant see that being repeated in the 2 half of the season so we should do better and will hopefully get enough to survive. I think a bit of a confidence boost would make all the difference and 3 pts at Leeds may be the catalyst for an upturn in form

I think you'll find we haven't failed to hardly get any wins at all.
It's hard to not dislike all this double negativity that's around at the moment
Fulham haven't won a league game since November. They are getting better results (5 points from a possible 15 in their last 5 games) but I', not sure it's a resurgence.
I agree that these two games feel massive but suspect they wont define the season. Not unless it's two big losses, which I can't see happening.
On current points gathering form, we’re on course for about 28 points. I do believe that will be good enough to finish above Sheff Utd and probably West Brom but no one else.
We’ll win two more games for sure, if we can then turn half of the 8 draws (I’m predicting) into wins, we’ll be safe.

Burnley A
Newcastle H
West Brom A

Wolves A

If we start taking our big chances, we’ve got a chance in all of these. 27 realistic points still on the table.

Fulham were very decent at Spurs midweek. Then again, I thought we played just as well there and got unlucky. More importantly, I thought we looked good against Man City and Wolves, so I'm not sure Fulham's form is any better than ours.
The truth is, there is likely to be little to choose from between Fulham, Brighton, Burnley and Newcastle this season, and if we assume Sheff Utd and West Brom are as good as gone, those 4 clubs are playing to avoid one spot. Personally, I think we'll end up finishing above both Newcastle and Fulham.

Agreed. Newcastle have somehow spawned some decent results so far but they’re descending into a pit I reckon - they look awful. If we end up below them we’ll deserve to go down.
We've gone backwards this season. People can complain about little money being spent but adding Lamptey, Lallana, White and Welbeck to the squad should result in improvement not regression. If those players don't improve us why would a new striker improve us? White and Lamptey are two of the most highly rated defenders in the league yet our defence has got worse this season. Our points total and record is embarrassing given the squad we have.
Purely out of interest, I decided to go back and find our 7th win ago. This was achieved at the Emirates last season.

Whilst Fulham are getting draws, they are doing so with a big slice of luck. Their woodwork is really helping them out, we hit the bar against them and Spurs hit the inside of the post when Son was through to make it 2-0; the ball then gently rolled straight into their keepers arms after that bit of fortune.
Our woodwork has done sweet FA for us this season.
With our current injuries, I just can’t see our luck getting any worse, we are still playing well and getting draws. A downturn in Fulham’s fortunes will see them lose most matches.

As many have alluded to the next two fixtures are massive, with Percy and possibly Lampty back we must push on, and if we can come away with six points things suddenly look better. I feel obviously confidence will increase and more victories will inevitably follow, and we will claim a big scalp along the road to safety.
Why do we need 7 wins?
It’s shaping up to be a record low points total to survive. We just need to get more points than Brom and Fulham.
