We haven't played like this all season. We might not be scoring more goals but we are conceding less. We also have less possession than we have done in the past. It might be subtle but we are playing slightly different.

Fair point with regard to the system but I don't think it is that different to earlier in the season with the notable exception of the GK.

My point was more that we had often been playing well enough to win games but weren't due to poor finishing. If we had converted our chances at even an average rate compared to other teams in the league, we would have been easily in the top half of the table. We are every bit as good as West Ham and Villa (and have been all season apart from the odd game) with the exception of scoring goals (and yes, I know that's the important bit but it's easier to fix than lack of chances).

It wasn't only poor finishing. we were also conceding goals we shouldn't have so as you say changing of th GK was important and brave. I think Potter done something else very clever in that although we have less possession our shot count doesn't seem to have been affected, so now when we score that 1 or maybe 2 goals in the game, we are more likley to get something out of the game rather than not. For me that is where Potter has earnt praise.
