In Tau We Trust. So far we've only seen him on a ploughed field in Wales and an away match at Man City. The next two league games should be far more representative of what he can do. Hopefully an instant impact player like Lamptey. Might just energise the players around him and turn our season around. Which would be nice

Fulham are better than us right now. Without another change in fortunes for them or us, they will finish above us. I can see us keeping WBA and SU below us but not Fulham, we need wins end of..... No more excuses, no more "learning lessons" BS..... Going direct and getting a rebound off the arse for a dodgy 1-0 against the run of play, is just fine.

We don't need tika taka, potterball, possession stats. We just need points by hook or crook and quickly.

Are they? What is the statement ‘Fulham are better than us right now’ based on. They have drawn a lot of games (with a fair share of luck) but are they really better then us at this current time?

Why do we need 7 wins?

It’s shaping up to be a record low points total to survive. We just need to get more points than Brom and Fulham.
Still 6 or 7 wins in my view... 18-21 points plus half a dozen 'potential' draws.

Must admit I think 6 wins is well within our capability, so add another and a couple of draws, we could well be fine. I actually think a low points total around 33 could be enough this season, especially if we keep the GD under control.

Ok, it's a bit "no shit Sherlock", but we really need to turn our form around.

Our home matches left are, Fulham, Spurs, Villa, Palace, Leicester, Newcastle, Everton, Leeds, West Ham & Man City. With the possible exception of maybe Spurs, Leicester, Everton & City, we should be looking to win the other 6

The away matches left are going to be a lot harder to get points from: Leeds, Liverpool, Burnley, West Brom, Southampton, Man Utd, Chelsea, Sheff U, Wolves & Arsenal.

I think they are by most metrics, presently. If you simply watch them, they're a better unit, better defensive shape and look more threatening (in recent months), if you discount the first 2 months when they were a shambles and contrast that to the last 2 months after they fully strengthened, without even looking at the Maths or stats they've done better than us as they were much further away from us and now they're 2 points off with 2 games in hand.

They're also confidence wise on an upward trajectory, we're not.

We simply cannot afford to lose at home.

Well, here we are mid-January, one place and 2 points above the relegation zone, and Fulham have 2 games in hand...…...

Fulham 2 points and 2 games behind us, true. But they are averaging 0.75 points per game. Just saying ..............................

They only need to win one from 2 and it's all change. Unfortunately their next 2 games are at home, fortunately its against Chelsea tomorrow with no Loftus Cheek then game 1 in hand v Man U midweek.

If we could pull off a win and they get beat at home, the world is gonna look very different.... But if I had one free £20 win only bet, I'd fancy them at home to Chelsea over us against the Duracell bunnies.

Very probable in my opinion. I have a gut instinct we're on the verge of really kicking on and surprising a lot of people.

With Maupay and Zeqiri that really will be a surprise.

Unless Tony spunks some cash on a barndoor free attacker who can actually put it in the net, I have a gut feeling we're off to Barnsley next season and the only surprise will be how many current first team players will still be here.

Nurse! Screens!

It's not just blind optimism on here, its delusion bordering insanity.

a quick calc suggested 29.5 points on form so far, as PA said, 30 points at the end of the season rounding it up. . . . . it will be a bloody miracle if we win 7 games now.

34/35 points will be needed. So 5 wins;

Newcastle
Fulham
Shef United
Palarse
Wba

And couple draws - West Ham and everton.

Lose v Fulham we are in deep shite.

4 wins, 6 draws, 9 losses from the remaining 19 games for 35 points. That should keep us up & totally doable.

Just don’t lose to wba, Fulham, & Sheff Utd
