Average batsman like Rogers, Bailey & Smith creaming our attack all around the park, might as well chuck some more pies down it can't get any worse anyway.

Abort, retry, fail
Interesting little anecdote from Michael Vaughan.

Michael Vaughan, Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match Special
"I played against Kevin Pietersen in a tour match in South Africa in 1999. We all knew about him because he had been making noises about wanting to play county cricket. He batted at number eight and bowled about 45 overs. He got me out and we struggled to hit him off the square. Then he smashed 50 with the bat. He kept coming up to us, asking if Yorkshire, Notts etc might want to sign him. A few said no, you're not that good. It was Clive Rice who finally brought him over."

So when are the Aussies likely to declare?

This just shows the sudden gap in class, Aussies leaving and then hitting bad balls for 4, what happened to this " treacherous " wicket ?

According to Vaughn we have pissed KP off by fielding him in the wrong position......ah, that must be why he keeps getting out stupidly for cheap.

Does anyone know why we're picking a proper spinner, then not bowling them? Happened with Monty at Melbourne, now Borthwick here. Gametime for Root and Pietersen though.

Just realised, this is only day 3. the Aussies do not need to declare they can bat on to the close and probably still bowl us out in the time left.

I'm wondering if they'll declare at tea and then skittle a few out before close of play, then leaving a short days work to finish us off on the 4th day and a day off early to celebrate the whitewash.

Bumble and Botham talking about Lyon "could be useful" in the 2 innings. The pitch is more condusive to spin as the match progresses, so how come Lyon bowled 15 of their 59 overs, while Borthwick has bowled just 2 of our 53?

If Cook doesn't fancy him then why is he in the team?

And there we go. On he comes, first over, gets a wicket. Brought on once the lead has gone over 400. Totally shit captaincy from Cook.

Bumble is a ****ing tosser, the sooner we get rid of this old fool the better. He's made no comment about Cook's captaincy, we're trying to avoid 5-0 for God's sake.
