Stokes on 8 wickets in the match, Aussies going for it, he's got a shot at 10 if they don't declare soon.

DREADFUL, JUST DREADFUL!!!!! Total Shambles. Only Broad and Stokes should be nailed on the next team sheet. Next in line, Root, Bell, Cook and maybe Ego. Then blood some talent for example; Tymal Mills, Chris Jordan, Sam Robson. I think Carberry was ineffective, brilliant fielder (normally) but slow and dull unlike his county cricket form and Boyd Rankin was totally out of his depth. Time for some fresh air and let's start planning for the future and the 2015 ashes.

Great effort from the ginger haired Kiwi our only success :)

I think the key is finding new coaches to bring out the best in what we've got. Take Bairstow - he and Taylor played in the same England test side in 2012 vs a very strong South Africa and Bairstow shone while Taylor struggled. Bairstow can score quicky or steadily, and if England are to play more positively - possibly under a new captain - then Bairstow's capable of doing that.

I also think the same applies with a bowler like Finn. New coach, new ideas. If we can get the coaching side right my team is:

Cook
Root
Bell
Pietersen
Bairstow
Stokes
Prior
Broad
Anderson
Panesar
Finn.

I wouldn't go anywhere near Bairstow at present, he has no technique to be a top six batsman and his wicket keeping is sub-standard also. The other option is to look at Robson up the top and move Root to the lower order.
