I remember that. We only needed about 140 to win in the 4th innings, and Curtley Ambrose bowled possibly the innings of his career.

Worst thing about his looming 5-0 series is that this Aussie team isn't even close to the quality of the team that whitewashed us in 2006/7. Mitchell Johnson is capable of bowling some wicked deliveries, but he also bowls a lot of shite in between; he has been made to look a much better player than he is just because the England batsmen seem to be scared of putting his wayward deliveries away.

Exactly.

I hope KP,Cook and Bell are on the balcony looking at this. These two will not save the game but at least they have steadied the ship a little. The senior pro's, apart from Anderson, should be ashamed.

So that's 53-4 in the morning session, thats better than usual. Time for bed, all out 128 after the Aussies re-think their tactics.

Well thank God for Ballance and Stokes, they've played well in that last hour.

Just woke up so checked and expected or rather hoped we would be about 80 - 2 at lunch, but no, another disastrous morning.

Serious question do they use the same make of balls out there as in England as I can see no reason why Johnson and Harris should have been so bad in England but so good now and virtually unplayable.

Couldn't sleep so thought I'd come down to see how we're getting on. What on earth has gone on with this team? They've been well and truly found out by the Aussies. Think there will have to be a root and branch clear out as the psychological damage may be too much to recover from. Time for some new blood whilst keeping a nucleus of the existing team such as cook (!), root, stokes, broad and Anderson if he doesn't retire after this shambles

It's a good job that Stokes is playing. Nobody else is.
