I honestly cannot believe what I've seen in this series. It's disgusting what some of these players have done! Yes the Aussies are flying but Jesus we weren't this bad against McGrath, Lee and Warne!!!!

Just done a bit of searching. There's actually been a fair few test match innings scores of 50 or less. Distinct possibility we may be joining that list here.

Nice to see England saving their worst for the last test! cheers! This has been arguably the most one sided test series in living memory against a fairly average Aussie team, that serves to illustrate how dire England have been. We've bowled pretty terribly but our batting has been absolutely shocking. I think mentally we lost it at the second test and it's just got worse since. Let's just get this over with, have a complete overhaul and address the mental frailty of this team. There is no one with any backbone or character in the team just a bunch of jolly nice chaps being battered by the aggressive and in your face Aussies, plain embarrassing.

45. I remember it well.

edit: no, sorry 46 after checking was the one I remember.

Yes, I was close, I remember that being our nadir. I think we will limp past 46.. just.

I remember that. We only needed about 140 to win in the 4th innings, and Curtley Ambrose bowled possibly the innings of his career.

Worst thing about his looming 5-0 series is that this Aussie team isn't even close to the quality of the team that whitewashed us in 2006/7. Mitchell Johnson is capable of bowling some wicked deliveries, but he also bowls a lot of shite in between; he has been made to look a much better player than he is just because the England batsmen seem to be scared of putting his wayward deliveries away.
