Wondering given the versatility so many of our players have, whether we'll end up with a relatively small squad.
Risky this season. Crazy number of matches squeezed into Dec/Jan especially.

As a squad of 25, that squad is light. We don't know if Sanders, Gyokeres or even Molumby will be up to it. Not sure if Walton will be fit enough to be named before January. No idea if Cochrane and Roberts are in the frame .
Doubt Gyokeres is part of Potters plans.
Sanders and Molumby - would be a push but then he included Alzate in pre season last year - so it’s a big hint.
Roberts - almost certainly - EFL loan
Walton is lined up and early signs are his injury is better than feared.
(thanks to Blue Valkiyre) - squad now looking like its needs a few signings...

Doesn't Andone need to be listed. Unless we have 25 senior pros, if he's not gone out anywhere (due to being injured or otherwise) doesn't he have to take up a slot?
I think Potter is more likely to use Molumby than Sanders. Sanders hasn't played higher than League One yet, so a championship loan would be the preferred next challenge for him IMO.
I wouldn't rule out a load abroad for Molumby either.
Doubt Gyokeres is part of Potters plans.
Why do you say that? Not ready? Not the qualities we need?
On paper he sounds interesting, although I can't find much recent footage other than his first goal for Sweden last year.
He had a ok season in Bundesliga 2 last year for St Pauli. 7 goals in 26 matches
He's still only 22 but doesn't sound the sort of track record to be fighting for a prem league spot at Potter's Brighton.
(but others on here might have seen more of him and will argue otherwise)
For me the shopping list in order of priority is;
Striker
Lamptey style left back
Winger (see as Izzy still isnt fit)
Goalkeeper
Does anybody actually know how fit or otherwise Izzy is?

Latest info is vague...

Says he's very close but also says no return date is set.
Thank you for this. As usual, the club are tight-lipped, although I really see no reason why!
