Definitely want a new striker (hopefully Nunez, for a number of reasons).

And a left wing back in similar in quality to Lamptey.
Imagine how much that would improve our team. Just look at what Lamptey did.
And we know Potter likes 3 at the back.

I think Ainsley Maitland-Niles could do this job, and of course be a utility player for what looks like a very tiring "squished" schedule.
Also can clearly hit the ground running (excuse the pun) in the Premier League, much like Lamptey.

But perhaps it would be better to get a left footer like Pedraza.

You do know the reason he wants to leave Arsenal is because he doesn't want to play LWB, don't you?

Nope. I didn't.

You got a source / link? Would love to have a read.

I really like him but would definitely be most interested in a striker and quality LWB first and foremost.

Sorry, haven't got a link, but I definitely remember reading somewhere that he wanted to play central midfield and make it his own position rather than be shunted in anywhere as a utility player. Looking to move to a club that would guarantee his position. On most of the football sites he is classified as a midfielder, but apart from that, no, I can't remember where I saw it.

It seemed to make sense.

It crops up (from several different posters) on the Ainsley Maitland-Niles thread - again without any links I'm afraid. It doesn't look like it was just plucked out of thin air though - there are multiple pages between the different references to this, so they don't appear to be just feeding off each other.

There was an interesting article by Jonathan Northcroft in the Sunday Times (no, not something I ever expected to write either) about the gruelling nature of the upcoming season, including quotes from Dean Hammond, who is now a conditioning coach. Having read it, I'm more convinced than ever that we need to be hanging on to as many experienced players as possible, as injuries are more likely to be a factor than ever. I was all for letting players such as Gross and Ali J go but now I don't really want us to be having gaps that we fill with players such as Andrew Crofts.

I'm sure our large squad helped us in the five-subs situation, and it could still be a real benefit this time round. Duffy and Montoya's slots need to be filled with quality. I think Izquierdo will be included in the 25, and we could be very glad of that..

Wasn't expecting Mooy to go ! Best of luck, Aaron. At least it opens the door to Molumby.

Numbers 3, 9, 12, 18, 21, 22, 25 and some higher ones free for the coming season. Yeah yeah #threebenwhite but I'm hoping a new LWB and St will take the lowest two numbers, with Walton, Molumby, Connolly and Alzate taking the others. Ben White to take one OR Duffy's number 4.

So whats the shopping list now? Striker, left back, and possibly a winger?

The first of those is a must (perhaps triggering Glenn's departure?), the second the next on the shopping list, and the final one (which might better be re-worded as a wide forward) only if a target becomes available.
I've said this so many times before, but the key is quality, rather than quantity. We're strong enough now in terms of numbers to just add a striker.
Be good if we could get Duffy and Jahanbakhsh off the books too -- with Andone and Locadia to follow and, if someone really wants him, Stephens.

I'm going to guess that Adam Cochrane and Viktor Gyökeres are going to get some minutes tomorrow to try and prove that there is no need for a shopping list. Dunno if there's any promising wingers around? Gwargis maybe?

I dont think there will be any more signings until the loan returnees and some of the kids has been evaluated.
