Protecting the expectations on him would be my guess. With the type of injury he's had there's a strong chance he could come back not the same player or competitive matches could cause the injury happen again. So rather than hype up his potential return I assume they're keeping things quiet so any involvement from him is just seen as a bonus.

Ooh good spot. Loving that Izzy is back. We know Andone was out at least until Jan. Bit surprised Gyokeres isn’t in the squad. Maybe we will actually sign a couple of strikers!?

I wouldnt draw any conclusions from this. I mean David Button is still listed, and he is gone.

I think player lists are just feeds from the PL database. If this isn't up to date then the club website won't be either.

It's all up to the office junior at the PL to keep the data current.

I looked about 3-4 days ago and it was all last season kit, baluta, Duffy, Mooy all there.... So it's Def updated by club.

So you are saying the feed works the other way and the PL App/site takes a data off the Albion database instead ?

Must be a nightmare for the PL with data being stored by various clubs in different ways.

I think the squad lists are generally not very accurate between seasons. However, if Băluţă has disappeared from the list it could indicate a move is in progress.

Disappointingly and for whatever reason, he hasn't made any apparent progress at the Albion and looks a bit surplus.
