Morning!
Life is good here. The husband is about to leave for a weekend in Blackpool with a plastic cricket set and not much else *shrug* we play Preston tomorrow so they are all going up for that.
I am going to do as little as possible all day. Oldest child has gone to a football tournament...
Not selling some land in Ireland to a foolish English person who offered us a lot of money for a quick cash sale. We wanted to keep the land but then changed our minds and when we had it valued it was worth a quarter of the offer we had from that English guy. I still kick myself about that now...
I've been in skirts and flip flops all week. My boy went to school in shorts today.
Probably not really warm enough but I like to pretend we actually have nice weather here.
Gary Kelly made his 500th appearance for Leeds this season, he got presented with who knows what - plates, tankards, cuff links, trophies and the club put on a surprise party for him.
Tis some feat in this day and age!
Almost congrats to Tank!
I've never really nested with any of the others, I think I am making up for it now and starting early this time.
I hate painting but that is next on my list for my husband. Anastasia was born and her nursery wasn't even started thanks to his procrastination so I'm starting on it early this time...
Heh. My husband has a collection of weird and supposedly wonderful beer bottles. Stretching back to his university days. Every so often he pulls one out and tells me "This is from Garys BBQ when we were 19" "This is from Lukes 21st birthday party" Yeah, that's great. He has them all wrapped up...
I took it upon myself to finish my husbands half arsed furniture building that has been going on all week. Had the wardrobe and drawers put together and in their correct places within an hour. Not sure what all his fuss was about really. Missing some handles but he can get those tomorrow.
Now...
Sat in the kitchen eating some cheddars, drinking homemade lemonade. I should be making something for tea and thinking about doing some ironing. Exciting times.
Hurrah! A weekend without the husband as he is off to Blackpool for a drunken weekend at the football. Then a Leeds United win in the FA Cup on Monday. My boy is being a ball boy so look out for him on TV!
I'm only bothered because we have a lot of chicken and I couldn't bear it if we had to cull them. If we didn't have them, I wouldn't be overly concerned.
