Why do they have to make them one at a time? Can they really not build an electronic board that can handle 3 on and 3 off simultaneously? It seems like an unnecessary waste of time.
Another quote I heard a lot over the weekend... Brighton have lost their two best players. Its not being 'best' that commands high transfer fees - its contract length, age etc etc. Yes they were great players, but not our best players and we can cover those positions.
Suspect this isn't too wide of the mark (pun intended). I'm sure all deals are done on the qt between the actual men with the money. The pr teams are then engaged manage the leaks and the press releases.
I know nothing about contracts, but do they seriously have goal bonuses? Sounds like a terrible idea. Not much incentive to pass to that player in space when its going to cost you 30 grand.
Thanks for running it. As a former joint winner (cough - dont like to mention it) I've had a mare this season. I think I've got 1 right all season. Even a monkey hitting random keys would have got 2 or 3 I reckon...
It was a realy poor quality game - poor passing and finishing from both sides. But just because its Liverpool and Chelsea all the commentators and pundits seemed to think it was an exciting quality game. If it had been Brighton vs Burnley putting on that sh1t shower, it would have been...
I guess its a big step up for him - and no doubt a massive pay rise, but surely he could have waited for an offer from a club with a more sensible managerial appointment policy. I'm sure there would have been plenty of offers.
Every individual player's performance was nigh-on perfect and the team tactics and performance was faultless. Best ever in my 45 years (whether at the match or on tele).
Around that time I bought a load of parts in there for my CB250. I'd saved up for months for the parts which should have been about 80 quid. Whoever served me, misread the invoice and charged me 8 pounds and something - as a broke 19 year old I couldn't believe my luck - I paid up and left...
I love my Kindle - but mine is the old model that has the page turn buttons on the side. I tried the later model, but just couldnt get on with it without the buttons. It seemed like a massive backward step to have to tap the screen with my grubby finger to flip the page. With the original you...
I think this would be a huge improvement. It would remove one of the most annoying aspects of the game at a stroke. Maybe the 60 mins could be debated - maybe 70 would be better.
Read this recently. Absolutely fascinating. We were so far ahead of the Germans in the intelligence game which was a crucial part of winning the war. Information from what they called the 'most secret sources' (i.e. the cracking of the enigma machine) shortened the war by years.as the Germans...
