I doubt that. STH's have until 5.00pm Sunday to claim their seats so would be none too happy to find it sold. What you could do, as a STH, is buy any other seat which is not 'owned' by another STH. I'd expect most of those spare seats to be South stand but, if we play Arsenal, they would...
Not making a profit, or even making a loss, is pretty commonplace in business. After all, look at Starbucks and many other big name firms who somehow never show a profit (to the taxman).
Isn't it amazing that a tiny littlesquiggle of the line enable LDC to hold up building the Amex for so long.
Strangly, after all their fuss, they have been very quiet on negative stories of the impact of the stadium in regards to lewes, or even Falmer.
If it's Dark Star you want then the Evening Star is pretty close to Brighton station, although not obvious, it runs parralel and to the right of Queens Road, which is the road from the station to the sea. Brighton station to falmer is less than 10 mins but trains become packed the later you go.
I don't think they need to cap the maximum price, some clubs offer premium facilities and corporates but we are always being told that these top prices help to keep other tickets 'affordable'
What would be better is a percentage of seats priced at an affordable level
Helped by the amazing Amex, I've more or less given up away games. Great days out but really the whole day package of food, travel, drink & match is something I couldn't really justify.
Crowds will always come to see a winning team. I've not checked the details of 77/78 but, in the promotion season of 71/72 crowds were just about around the 10k mark and increased slowly as the team tagged amoung the leaders. On that Boxing Day (no transport?) there was an incredable 30,600 v...
Have a good day out, it's a cracking stadium & City. Part of your ticket price covers local transport in quite a wide area. No good if you are coming down on a special coach or have bought a train ticket straight through to Falmer but should you be driving then you can park up & use local...
Not read all the thread but times have changed and many things and words that are unacceptable now were commonplace back then.
We cannot re-write history but should learn from it.
How do the numbers parking in Coldean/Moulsecoomb compare this season with last? I would imagine that the 'free' P&R would have made more people head for these sites rather than a possible long walk in inclement weather.
Also, how many parking incidents have been reported. incidents that lead...
I think he suffered from trying too hard. Things were not going right but the effort was there but, when you're a forward and not scoring, the timing & confidence goes. you shoot too soon or you hang on too long, everything seems to go wrong and then there's the crowd on your back.
Davies has...
There's a long time between now & Feb and if I give too early you may fall off the waggon so I'll drink to you at the January Amex games just to test the resolve of the team and then i'll donate at the end!
Besides, somebody needs to save the bar takings at the Amex!
Yes but he'll probably get a ban through the post.
I wasn't in that stand but heard it got a bit heated before the police (or club safety officer) stepped in and maybe they took the line of least trouble would be to let him continue to watch the game but I'd imnagine he's on the club database...
They didn't put WSU tickets for sale online so the only people who were there were STH's or those who bought over the phone or in person.
They wanted to sell the more expencive seats and also leave spaces where the TV cameras would not see them.
Must admit the concourse experinece was much nicer.
