I was distracted by the ones at Upton Park when we played there a few years back but yesterdays were no problem at all.
But then, the game was played in daylight.
Certainly, early on, certain areas were not available online (like WSU with £28 & £32 seats) and it looked like only the more expencive, or those that would be more likely to be seen on TV, that were sold.
I 'boxed' it so will watch it again later.
How did the crowd sound? People say we come oiver quite loud on TV and I'm sure we are not as quiet as some moaners would suggest.
I don't think the WSU tickets were ever put online and the policy was to see expencive seats 1st and ones that would show on TV.
I bought the £28.00 in the WSU wing but was able to move to the many spare seats in the centre.
It's all been very shabby and no wonder most have left.
The club seem determined to ruin any pre-match entertainment. loads of kids (and some adults!) love to be seen on the big screen during Fanzone, and it does generate some excitement yet the club would rather show adverts. What a waste of...
Seems some of the PC brigade are obsessed with 'coming out'. They complain that minority groups are persecuted but do their best to turn them from the mainstream.
There's things like gay choirs but why? Surely being in a choir (or a sporting team) should have no bearing on a persons sexuality...
Besides, if heading out of town and unable to turn right into Mithras, then go on a few 100 yards and turn left into the other P&R site on that side of the road.
Go for the Mithras House P&R on Lewes Road. Park up then walk towards brighton to next road (Coombe Road) and about 50yrds up the hill, on the left, is H's cafe. Very friendly, clean and a good range of proper cafe food at reasonable prices.
Parking, food, transport all in one and there's even...
It was a pretty unremarkable game on a dull afternoon. Maybe we were favourites, to some, but we were having a poor time and Newcastle were riding high in the division below and building the foundations of a really good team of youngsters and older stars.
They had Keegan, McDermott, Beardsley &...
Not taken up my ST seat but have gone for a cheaper (£28.00) in WSU, black nearest the North.
Am also expecting to be able to move over into an empty nearer my usual crowd in the centre.
