    Football League Tonight part deux.

We were very good. I was there and the highlights didn't reflect the game. We may have had less shots overall but we looked the more dangerous team and were only denied a win by a very dodgy penalty.

The challenge on Wilson first up in highlights

Didn't think it was a penalty at the time but, given the penalty he gave Derby later, I changed my mind. If you're going to give one, you have to give both.

    Player ratings?

Very harsh. We looked very solid yesterday. They scored from a corner for the first goal and then an awful ball from Ince led to the second (which wasn't a penalty). We've still conceded less than a goal per game and kept Derby quite quiet overall. To say Bruno is awful at defending is...

    When 442 became 245

Yes but we'd already got one back and forced a brilliant save from their keeper by then. Zamora was through for the sending off and could easily have made it 2-2. I would have then fancied us to go on and win. If anything, I felt our momentum reduced with the sending off. We were looking great...

    [Albion] Derby - Away Support

Sorry, may not have been clear, I meant that they were weird groups to split our away fans into (and not a fair reflection). I am also going to be there on Saturday but still trying to work out which of the groups I fit into.

    [Albion] Derby - Away Support

What an odd post. So, you're moaning about not enough supporters going to away games and then you're slagging off the ones that do by putting them in to those weird groups. We were always going to reduce the away following compared to home one when we moved. Withdean had 7,000 supporters, most...

    Stockdale

Completely agree. A lot of rubbish was written about Stockdale last season when he was one of our better players across the whole season but some people just can't admit they were wrong and have to credit other things for his "miraculous" turn around.

    Stockdale

If it wasn't for Stockdale there wouldn't have been a second half comeback as they would have been out of sight. He was clear man of the match on Saturday and should have got the award.

[Albion] What a difference a year makes

Completely agree with this. Sami was dealt a poor hand but he played it appallingly. The games talked about in this thread are classic examples with not playing Ince and starting with JFC and Gardner at Derby and at home to Millwall. I think I could have done better in those games.

FA Cup Draw - Everton please.

Big Premier League team away from home please. Don't really want a cup run, the league is the priority, however there are a few Premier League teams who wouldn't fancy playing us at the moment.

    442

Yes, that's exactly why Leicester are bottom of the Premier League. Oh wait, they're actually top and doing amazingly with a weaker squad than most teams in the top half. I think in football sometimes too much is made of formation. The issue is that teams focus too much on sticking to one way...

[Albion] If you had to take one of these outcomes?

Absolutely agree with this. I'd be delighted with five or six points from those three games. Went for the final option to avoid either Middlesbrough or Derby gaining ground on us in our game against them. Five points from the next four games would give us two points a game at the halfway point...

    Team vs Derby

Assuming Crofts is fit of course. If he's not, then Ince in instead. I'd be delighted with a draw there but we do have the quality to trouble them on the counter attack too.

[Albion] What a difference a year makes

That Derby game last year was one of the most depressing afternoons of an awful season. I didn't go there with much hope but when the teams were announced, I couldn't believe it. It was so obvious to almost everyone in that ground that it was the wrong team (sadly except the manager who picks...

    Team vs Derby

I agree. From Hughton's post match comments, it is clear he meant to do that at Burnley but then lost Crofts and Ince quite late on to injury/illness so had to change. I imagine he will do that again. We're going to need to manage Zamora next week too. Realistically he won't start three games...

    Player ratings vs Charlton

I think the argument ends when you compare Baldock to CMS. Baldock is a far better player (and our season fell apart last year when he got injured). You ignore my comment on £1 million for a striker. It's nothing these days. As for his finishing, he scores goals. We've been crying out for a...

    Bridders coming home?

Completely agree about the three years. He was great under Poyet. However, he played in a different formation to the one we play now and I'm not sure he'd be as effective in 4-4-2. And, I don't regard what he did as a little thing at the end. I understand players want to improve their careers...

    Player ratings vs Charlton

Agree about Murphy generally. However, he did play a fantastic ball through to Zamora for the sending off.

    Player ratings vs Charlton

It's funny how some fans take views against some players. If you think £1 million is a high price tag for a Championship striker then you are delusional. CMS cost £2 to £2.5 million and did less than Hemed has done in terms of goals. He has contributed a lot and scored 6 goals in the first half...

    "I was there"

It was the best and worst match I've ever watched. For 90 minutes, it was terrible (it's been tense this season but nothing like that) and after the game, it was amazing. Can't believe it will be 20 years at the end of next season. Can't believe that time has gone.
