Completely agree. I have very little recollection of that afternoon except the depression of half time, Reinelt scoring and that chance they had at the end but I will always remember being at the game. It was so tense but so great at the end. Doncaster was the same. Wherever we go as a club, it...
Whitehawk were fantastic today. They dominated most of the game. I was in the Dagenham end and they were having a go at their team and calling for the manager to be sacked at the end. Think Whitehawk are favourites for the replay but really don't want an away game there in the draw tomorrow.
To be honest, I'm just pleased we're doing well. I don't particularly want to gloat about Hughton proving many on here wrong. It's just great to see we're doing so well but I'm trying not to get carried away as I still think we'll be in the play offs (not get automatic promotion) and we know...
It's not about changing our fortunes. It's about the grief we'll get from other team's fans when we do lose (which I am 99.99999% sure we will at some point this season). Since the Amex, I get the feeling a lot of fans think we're arrogant. This sort of thread proves their point.
Completely agree. I think they got what they deserved. Red card was very clear as Zamora was in on goal and they were quite a cynical team. If anything I thought he gave their players a foul or two before booking them (see their number 8) while he booked Calderon and Stephens for their first fouls.
Think you're being very harsh on your keeper there. Watching the game live (and from the highlights), I'd say he did very well to get anything on the third goal and was a bit unlucky that the ball dropped in.
Like Charlton as a club (even if it got a bit tense today) and really hope you stay up.
Completely. Why start a thread like this. It sets us up for a fall. We won't be unbeaten all season. In fact, I'd be impressed (given the games to come and a few injuries) if we were unbeaten at the halfway point of the season.
We are the luckiest team in the league. No doubt if we manage to beat Derby next weekend, they'll have been out of form and we will have been fortunate.
For a team who has only played three of the top six (same as us) and have only managed one point (away to Derby when they were out of form at...
Think they have played Derby but, other than that, I completely agree. Can't believe the arrogance.
On top of Kaz, Bong, Rosenior and Baldock being out currently, Crofts has missed quite a lot of the season (initially getting match fit and then the last three games through injury), Hunnemeier...
Agree. Great cross. Same with Hemed who headed it brilliantly and, just as I was thinking how unlucky he was again, the ball drops in the corner. So pleased for Hemed. He works very hard and deserves his goal. Ten minutes we saw of Van La Parra was very promising too.
The hilarious thing is they talk about us having not played big teams when they have Birmingham, Burnley and us to come in the next three games so have only played Derby and Hull in top five (and they lost 3-0 at Hull). I'm not convinced we're going to be top two but it takes an extremely...
To be honest, we were all overrun at the back but I thought Dunk looked the poorer in the first half and has done for a few weeks e.g. the penalties he could have given away against Bristol City and MK Dons and the one he did give away against Burnley (although I thought that was a poor decision...
Not sure what you were watching but Dunk was far more of a liability than Greer today, including a horrendous error that should have led to a third (and would have done if not for Stockdale). Both Dunk and Hunnemeier look more confident with Greer in the team so, at the moment, it would be Greer...
Completely agree with this except I would give Stockdale 10. Nothing he could do about either goal and they would have been out of sight by half time if it wasn't for him. Second half we were great but, without Stockdale, it would have been damage limitation rather than epic win. Don't...
I thought Jamie had a great game yesterday given that he lost his supporting full back and he had a lot of defending to do since they posed a threat on their right side for most of the game. Lost possession in dangerous areas a few times where we almost got punished though.
March was excellent...
Agree about this. It worries me that Kayal and Stephens both only have a year left on their contracts after this season. It would be great to tie them both down to longer contracts.
