It's true there have been an extraordinary amount of long term injuries but, being long term, there were chances to get players in, plus the January window but we've had some major failings and loans like Lita & Obika hardly inspire confidence in the ability to spot players capable of improving...
I don't think that anybody yet has named a 1st team regular from last season's team who has actually got better (progressed) this season.

I swear at football, sometimes at work and almost never at home. When my kids started going to matches I explained that they would hear swearing and it was sort of acceptable as long as they also followed the rules, no swearing at home.
