    Legges Eleven in the Valiant comic in the 60's, wore a strip like that. They had a great goalie but he was badly colour blind, so the zig zag stripes enabled him to tell the difference between the teams. Strange thing to remember, but you know ... :cool:

    I had 2 Oaks (front gdn) and 2 Birch (back gdn) reduced a year or so ago, all timber removed from site for a bit less than £2000. I googled "tree surgeons" and found a price comparison site and went from there.

    I had similar issues for my mum - albeit in Hertfordshire - my advice, involve Social Services and also ask AgeUK. Both organisations were very helpful to me and my mum. The former helped to get things moving and both provided advice and guidance. PoA is essential and easy to do online. Care...

    I read his autobiography in the 1970's, he spent most of the war as a POW having been captured en route to Dunkirk as part of the BEF (if my memory serves me well?)
