The other consideration is that, unlike players (who only have say 5/10 years career left), a year extra at currently club won't necessarily affect his career so can stay longer. There WILL be more opportunities (for big 6 club) in due course anyway, not as if one in a career-time opportunity.

I assume no-one still believes Maupay should be our striker next season. Don't mind as a sub/backup, or sell and get replacement (preferable). He's young, yes, but doesn't appear to be improving - the writing is on the wall imo. Zequiri I think is a better prospect, no idea why he wasn't playing...
