Maupay really needs to run at the central defenders when 30/40 yds out rather than just sit and wait. Trossard in the same position, he would have run at them and created something.
Welbeck/Maupay close/narrow when ball is with our defence.
Central defenders therefore mark them
Then as we move up the pitch, the go out wide.
Central defenders either leave them (so W/M have space and can receive ball).
If central defenders follow/mark them, that creates space in middle for...
I don’t think Potter is the problem. Sure there are some decisions (AJ, WTF) that were wrong, however given how the team play most games, those decisions should be the difference between finishing, say, 15th and finishing 10th, NOT being dangerously close to relegation.
The reason we are where...
If we’re gonna play the way we do now, then it needs to be Welbeck/Zeqiri.
If counter attack, then the pace of Maupay/Connolly.
But the way we do now with Maupay/Connolly does not work.
If we go down, he will get sold (as will Bissouma and maybe Dunk/Webster) and for a lot less than if we were in PL.
No-way player of that quality/potential will stay in CS when large PL clubs are after them.
Only whilst we are in PL, we can demand silly money.
I am sure there was a sticky/post that Bozza was updating the forum software soon, and we were to check our e-mail settings etc.
Now I can’t find anything about it.
What’s happening?
This is down to tactics, try and make (let them have possession) the oppo start playing a bit up the park rather than letting them camp outside their area.
Many won't risk that and will play park-the-bus-and-counter-attack, esp against top clubs, however as we play possession style passing game...
Not sure how possible it is, however if you lowered the pitch, a whole 1 seat row added is about 750 seats? Not sure you could more than 2 rows, so 1500 seats. Plus doing the same to the south stand as north with upper tier, that's another say 500 seats.
So that's 2000 that "could" be added...
He has included Brighton players in the past, I would put it down to simply the game time and he possibly did the team of the week before he could watch/analyse the game.
Nice when we see our players there, however don't really care either way ultimately.
I wonder how many Pharma (and other types of international countries), in the long term, will decide to move operations/productions away from the EU given their behaviour?
They certainly will not try to do them any favours in future either!
Care needs to be taken with regards source of what the baseline actually is - or should be: https://twitter.com/VictimOfMaths/status/1350131613414391809
If we don't get a new, decent, striker in the window then I think our only hope is Andone (no idea if he in contention or will score but can't be worse than Maupay) if Welbeck isn't going to play much. Murray I assume is too slow/old so could not play much, not the worst options to have on bench...
