Well try harder. He made a brilliant save at 2-0 at Sheffield Wednesday. It was going into the top corner. He also made a couple of good saves against Barnsley and did everything he needed in the other games. Again, it shows an anti Stockdale when you forget any good things he does and blame him...
This comment is an absolute joke. Stockdale gets no credit for anything good but is blamed for everything bad. Whatever you say, Bruno is massively at fault for the first. There was no pressure on him to do that. He could have done anything. Stockdale didn't deal with it but I don't think many...
Maybe people get fed up with the abuse Stockdale gets on here, which is massively over the top. We had conceded one goal in five games before yesterday, yet apparently according to people on here he had no part in that yet is at fault for both goals yesterday. Personally, I get really annoyed by...
That's not my recollection at all. We didn't deserve to win by any means but nor did Preston so I don't see how a draw humungously flattered us. From memory neither side created anything until they had a great late chance which they missed, after Bong had gone off and we were playing with 10 men.
Sounds a good idea. Before you can say nobody loses out, we need to understand size of family and relative wealth. Maybe one club will need to compensate the other
It could get entertaining. I might start a board and moan on behalf of the children who I might have in the future and might be impacted if the offer is stopped.
On a serious note, as others have pointed out, it is a very generous offer from the club and it is really sad to see them attacked...
Agreed. We could really do with nine points from the next three (at least seven) as we've got two really tough games after that with Norwich and Bristol City both currently in the top six.
It's a fair question. I've no idea but if enough people like the OP moan because they've not been given free stuff despite them not adhering to the rules, then the club might cancel so these rants might ruin it for children who are signed up in the future.
So why bother having any rules then? The club might as well let all supporters walk in and take anything they want from the club shop for free. Basically, you want the rules not to apply for you and, when you are told they do, you are threatening to have a tantrum and not go to games again. It's...
There is a bit of competition for the opener position in the England team suddenly. Duckett had a great season, Hameed at Lancashire seems to be a great prospect and Gubbins at Middlesex was very unlucky not to get picked for the tour. Hopefully one will come good quite quickly, as we're in...
What an embarrassing story for any club. Can't believe, even if it is their rules, that they didn't think of the publicity around the story. Sadly, as others have said, the supporters are becoming less important to Premier League clubs with Sky money increasing all the time.
Frankly, the guy...
Agreed. And he's done pretty well other than Hyppia. Poyet did very well although it was a shame he left the way he did, Garcia did as well as he could with the squad and injuries we had and Hughton has done an exceptional job.
Not a huge fan of us playing in this but it is good, now we're out of the League Cup, to give more game time to players returning from injury/on the fringes of the squad.
It would be interesting to know how many managers have been a) appointed and b) sacked/resigned since Hughton took over for us. There do seem to be a lot of clubs who've had multiple managers in that time.
Always looked a terrible decision to appoint Trollope. No history of success at this level. Why sack Slade if you are going to bring in a less good lower league manager. Vital appointment for them now. If they get this wrong, they could be in serious danger this season. There's no team too good...
Not sure whether Keane is better than Lewis Dunk, but he does have Premier League experience. That will always put him ahead of Dunk in the England order.
For me, Dunk has more class with Keane seeming a more old fashioned centre half (but I've not seen a lot of him). However, he has started...
Exactly this. Rosenior got injured just as we bought Duffy and Goldson came back. I am 99.9% sure that Rosenior would have started at Newcastle if he had not got injured in the game at Reading.
Sadly that is true. Post Brentford there was much criticism of the team and moaning about various players (some of it fair but most of it massively over the top). Very few of those people have been on here since except for a few after Ipswich moaning about us being defensive. It makes NSC even...
It's not relevant who is best at left back (I would say they are pretty equal), Bong's form was poor enough early season that Hughton would have been forced to play Rosenior at left back, once we signed Duffy, if he hadn't got injured.
Overall, I think Liam is more steady but Bong offers more...
